Sharing an awesome event coming up in Orangevale:

The Sierra Foothills Horseman’s Association (SFHA) Open All Breed Horse Show will be in just 10 days!!

The show will be held at the Orangevale Park Horse Arena. Bring your horse and come have some fun!

* We will have portable lights for the Friday evening Gymkhana show!

* Lacey Dodd Photography will be at the show all weekend taking photos.

* We will have food and drinks available to purchase all three days.

Friday, Oct 4 – Gymkhana – starts at 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, Oct 5 – English – starts at 8:00 a.m.

Sunday, Oct 6 – Western - the Ranch Horse Classes start at 7:00 a.m. and then the rest of the show starting with the first halter class (Class # 6) will NOT start before 9:00 a.m.

This show is a great show for beginners, young horses, kids, etc. Lots of “in-hand” classes, and trail classes, plus lots of walk/trot for English and walk/jog for Western, etc.

We want to pass along an awesome event going on soon in Orangevale:

The Sierra Foothills Horseman's Association is gearing up for an incredible event!

Join us for an obstacle trail challenge Saturday, May 4th. If you love the fun and challenge of obstacles, or are just curious to try, this is a wonderful event to attend. Great environment, affordable entries, and just great people. (See the flyer for details). All ages and in-hand too!

The Stables will offer a $10 arena credit for any of our members that sign up for this event. We will also be adding some obstacles in the next couple of weeks to practice!

Come back for an amazing day on Sunday, May 5th as we feature guest speakers, demonstrations, a wonderful tack swap, raffle, silent auction, and cow chip BINGO

BINGO is a $2,000 prize!

Raffle prizes include:
$500 @ Tractor Supply
A Mexican cruise!
20 bales of ALFALFA
$100 @ Grange + Calcutta Cooler

You don't need to be present to win the big prizes, but many more available.

I have tickets available. Please reach out to get in on the goods. Cow chip is $10, Raffle $5 or 5 for $20.

Lots of fun for everyone, with or without your equine partner.

I know! We've been loving the sun too! 🌞

Meet Cindy and Susie 😀
If you've been to visit us at the Stables, you've likely noticed these beauties.

These girls are Percheron mules with loads of driving experience. When they aren't hauling their humans around and about in wagons, or taking the spotlight at Bishop Mule Days, they are soaking up the great weather and living the good life in pasture.

If you are planning a visit to the Stables, make sure you give these ladies a "hello". Warning, they will try to search you for treats!

We had such a lovely weekend here at the Stables!! Many new friends and connections were made. The highlight was sharing our arena with our local 4H group. What an outstanding bunch of young equestrians! Tomorrow is another wet one, but we will be open and ready to greet some new friends.

Good morning from LRS!
It's going to be a wet valentine's day. Perfect day to bring your true love ❤️ (your horse of course!) to the stables for a dry ride.
A couple of updates around here:

Please scan the code when you come in to ride. It will bring you to a short Google form that asks for some basic info. This helps us keep things safe and makes sure we keep the arena groomed as needed 👌
On that note, we were freshly groomed last night!

The bathroom just got a fresh scrub down too! Please send us a message if it needs attention. As equestrians, we can all agree a real bathroom is a luxury. While we don't balk at using a stall, pasture, or horse trailer, this is usually preferred 😁. TP in the flusher only, and make sure to turn off lights when you are done. Enjoy!

Finally: we are working on getting some clickers for the gate for our frequent members. There will be a refundable deposit required ($20 each). Please send us a message if you are interested so we can get them ordered 😊

We are LOVING ❤️ meeting new equestrian friends and look forward to seeing you all at the stables! Stay tuned for some exciting events coming soon! 😁
