Please Give this Puppy a Chance!

Meet Aspen! This beautiful 9-month-old boy is looking for his forever home or a foster! We are urgently looking for a foster!!! He is an American Bully/Husky/Akita/Boxer/German Shepherd mix and weighs about 60 lbs. He is super sweet and loves his people! He loves to give kisses and roll over on his belly for belly rubs! He is wonderful with people and kids! He loves to play with other dogs and has been in a home where he does well with cats. Aspen does have one behavioral issue that require a home without other dogs. Aspen does resource guard his food with other dogs, so it will be best that he is the only dog to avoid this trigger. He has zero resource guarding with humans. He is great at the dog park and hanging out with other dogs. It is just when food is around he does not want to share. He has completed three weeks of board and train, so his training will need to continue in his next home. His foster and/or adopter will be set up with the trainer for anything they need to ensure a successful transition! He is potty trained, crate trained, knows to sit, and has learned to walk well on the leash. Aspen is extremely sweet but slightly shy of the world, so we are really focusing on getting him out into the world to experience as many things as possible so he can be the confident puppy he is supposed to be! He would make such a great adventure buddy for someone! Aspen needs a home family that is dedicated to continuing his success and will continue his training. The epidemic of backyard breeding is real, especially with French Bulldogs. Paws of Redemption has made it our mission to rescue Frenchies being used and abused by backyard breeders, then dumped when they are no longer of use to them. Little Parker never reached the age of breeding. Instead he was dumped at 8 weeks of age (4.7 lbs) and left in a crate in a back alley with a “Free Sign”. That is what we were told anyway. Why was he dumped and of no use to these breeders? He was born blind in one eye (other eye perfectly fine), had an umbilical hernia (has been fixed), had a slight head tremor (doesn’t seem to affect him and is decreasing as he ages), and had bloody diarrhea (meds and proper diet have resolved this). No backyard breeder wants to spend money to get their puppies well. Paws of Redemption does. Parker is now 17 weeks old, 14.0 pounds, his permanent teeth have all come in, 100% socialized with dogs and people, plays fetch and rope, zero separation anxiety, fearless, smart as a whip, 90% potty trained (delayed due to being sick when he arrived), fully vaccinated, microchipped, has had his wellness check, f***l now negative of parasites, and has been neutered. Meet Matcha Latte! This beautiful girl is a 1 1/2 year-old female fluffy French Bulldog. She has the spunkiest personality that you can’t help but love. She is an absolute sweetheart who loves other dogs and cats. She has a great demeanor about her; she is very tolerant and submissive with other dogs! Matcha loves all people and is super cuddly. One of her ears is permanently down due to an untreated ear infection. Though it will never stand on its own, she is under treatment to get her ears as healthy as possible! She would thrive in a home with a family with other dogs or cats but would do well as an only dog. She is still learning to walk on a leash but is learning relatively quickly. She is great in the car and wants to be your little sidekick. She loves toys, is crate-trained, and 80% potty-trained. Meet Ranger! The cutest little cattle dog mix or so we think! He is about 5 months young and searching for his forever home. He is a wonderful and beautiful all white puppy with a short tail! He is a little model in his photos as you can see! He gets along with all dogs big and small, cats and loves all people. He is potty trained and very food motivated. Ranger would make an amazing family dog. We don’t see the super high energy you would see in a cattle dog as he is also extremely chill being a couch potato. He is the best of both worlds! If you are looking for the perfect little pup that will grow up to be max 40 pounds- this is your dude! He loves giving kisses and is small weighing in at about 20 pounds. He has his first round of vaccines and will be neutered soon. He was dumped near a homeless encampment and brought to us filthy with gum stuck to him! Meet Ginny! Ginny is a beautiful 2 year old female Papillon/Pomeranian mix so we think. We rescued her from the streets of San Bernardino. She was covered in ticks and fleas and unbelievably itchy! She had a ton of missing hair from the infestation going on, but that is all growing back slowly but surely! She had clearly been used for breeding, but not anymore! Despite her neglect, she is the sweetest little thing weighing in at 13 pounds. She smiles every time you ask her to come to you and give her love. She loves giving kisses. She would make a perfect lapdog and family dog. She has loved all people she has met and is super social. She loves to sunbathe out in the yard or sleep quietly in the shade. She has some energy that she would love to run around and play with the other dogs or go for a nice walk. She is wonderful on the leash and in car rides. She does well with all dogs big and small as well as cats! She is fully crate trained and potty trained! If you are looking for your next best friend, Ginny is the one! Meet Keeva! The biggest, sweetest and best 3 month old puppy you will ever meet! Keeva came from the Carson Animal Shelter where she was dropped off with her siblings. She was originally listed as an Irish Wolfhound but we got her DNA tested and she is actually 49.4% German Shepherd and 50.6% Standard Poodle! She has stunning wirey hair so you would never believe she had poodle in her. She weighed in 2 weeks ago at about 30 pounds so she is going to be a large breed dog. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs and is very curious with the kitties but always gentle. She has met several dogs (small and big) and does great with them all. She would make a wonderful family dog as she is gentle and incredibly sweet. With the past month we have had her, she has learned how to sit, not jump up and is potty trained. She has slept all night long with no accidents in our bedroom at the foot of the bed from day one. She is so incredibly smart and eager to learn. She does get a little distracted with other animals around so her training is best done one on one. She is not a needy dog, she is very independent and will come up to you for love or when you ask her for it. She is truly the best puppy I have ever raised and boy, I have raised quite a few! She can relax and be a big couch potato but then has shorts spurts of puppy energy. We have just started her on a leash in which she is doing fantastic. This big girl must have a yard and ideally a family with another dog so she can play. Her adoption fee covers her wellness exam, microchip, spay, vaccines, deworming, flea treatment and a bag of high quality large breed puppy food. Her vaccines include Bordetella, Rabies, 3 sets of DHPP and both initial and booster of leptospirosis vaccine. By the time you take her home, she will be ready to go on walks and go to dog parks to continue her socialization.

Insane week helping spay/neuter cats and dogs at the San Bernardino City Shelter with Shane’s War. So many intakes during this adoption event- this shelter needs adopters and help! Successfully fixed over 90 animals with & Really incredible to see the communities come together to make this 6 day adoption event a success. 2nd to last pic of the dog brought back from Starbucks who will be available through adoption through us soon after all medical is done (post to follow) and last pic to show you how the week went.

Dolly is a loving and extremely friendly 4 year old purebred tricolor brindle English Bulldog with lots of love to give! She was an owner surrender from a previous breeding operation. She is very affectionate and loyal and will cuddle up to you on the couch. She is a gentle, smart and curious dog, but can also be funny and quite a couch potato. She would be the perfect addition to a family, as she loves kisses, cuddles, kids and other animals. Dolly has met numerous dogs and cats big and small and she was great with them all. The original owner rehomed her son previously a few months back, so she is very reliant on having another dog in the house. She would love a family with kids or a couple- just wants all the love, but you must have another dog.
