Hello everyone! Dr. Deaton here, tomorrow marks our two year anniversary from opening the clinic. God has blessed us to work with such great clients and pets in this community. Each week it seems I meet new clients who are still finding out about our clinic.

Does your pet need flea and tick prevention even in the colder months?
Yes, but here is why:
- Kentucky winters are very unpredictable and can be sometimes mild, which is perfect weather still for fleas and ticks
- It can take up to 5 days of consistent below freezing temperatures to kill an adult flea
- Many species of ticks are still active into winter and can survive the first frost
