Big congratulations to my brother Jordan for becoming a certified dog trainer with ! 🎉🐕 In these pictures, he’s celebrating with his shelter pups, JR and Zoey, who he’s taken through the program. We’re so proud of all the hard work he’s put in and can’t wait to see what the last four weeks of school have in store for him. Huge thanks to Starmark for providing such an incredible foundation for him! 🙌 ”

🎃🐾 Calling all ghouls, ghosts, and good boys! It’s time for our spookiest Pack Walk of the year! Join us for a 3-mile twilight trek through the Long Beach Marina—costumes highly encouraged! 👻
The $5 optional donation, goes towards helping keep our community dog training classes alive. Plus, every pup gets a Halloween bandana and glow sticks to light up the night! ✨

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Hey everyone, as many of you know, we’ve been offering a free community dog training class in Downtown Long Beach for the past two years.
This class has helped so many members of our community build stronger bonds with their dogs. But now, the grant that made these classes possible is ending, and our last class is set for October 30th.

We don’t want this to be the end! We’re working hard to secure funding and support from the city to keep these classes going. Here’s how you can help:

📋 Action Items:
- Head to our link in bio and send two pre-written emails directly to the city. (even if you haven’t attended before)
- Take a quick survey about the class
- Spread the word!
Tell your friends and anyone who might benefit from these classes.

Our class is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12-1 PM at Lincoln Park, and we’d love to see you there!

🎉 Exciting news! BAMK9 is now an official AKC Fit Dog Club! 🏅 All of our pack walks now qualify for Fit Dog title points.

With over 50% of dogs in the U.S. being overweight, regular exercise like our pack walks helps improve cardiovascular health, mental stimulation, strength, and flexibility. 💪 Open to all breeds and mixes, the AKC Fit Dog title is a fun way to keep your pup active and healthy. 🐾

We’re excited to have Pablo from as the voice for senior and hospice dogs in need of homes. Plus, Ellie from will be showing off some cool tricks, and will highlight their involvement in the adoption room and Bark Dancing portion of the event!

Benji’s park adventures just got even better! 👏 Today, we worked on recall and emergency stops in motion. Teaching a bird dog to have these skills is crucial when living in an urban environment. This allows him to stop on command, even if he’s running at full speed, keeping him safe in situations like crossing the street or encountering other dogs or people unexpectedly. I love watching this pup figure out new skills!🐾✌️

Sometime dog training looks like this. Training your dog to be cool as a cucumber in public is no easy feat, but definitely worth the effort!🐾👌 Living in a busy city can be overwhelming for pups, so taking the time to teach them patience is key.💆‍♀️🌆 Remember to be patient with them too, and watch them grow into the perfect urban companion!🐶❤️
