romeospad.com This is Copper the November Howl-of-Fame pup. 1st picture is his two time alumni pic. The 2nd is one of his Mom's favorites of him.

Copper is an 11 yr old Dorkie. The day his Mom got him & held him, she knew right then and there that his name would be Copper, it also helped that his Mom Loved the movie The Fox & Hound.
He loves walks, snuggling, basking in the sun, & of course, his treats. Especially when he gets a sample of his Mom's eggs & bacon.

This is someone else's post, but I felt that it is VERY important to share!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CANNOT BE THERE IN PERSON.......PLEASE WRITE A LETTER (or 50) AND MAIL IT TO THE ADDRESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST.

I know there was a lot of outrage about the seagulls being massacred on the beach and that Mr. Travis was only charged with one count of animal cruelty vs the 25 counts he should have been charged with. I have since learned that the current prosecutor doesn’t seem to care about our wildlife and has a history of not prosecuting cases like this. There was a case several years ago where 4 deer (one being pregnant with a viable fawn) were all killed and left behind. They figured out who was responsible, and yet, the prosecutor let it go. This is just another of several stories. We need to let the prosecuting attorney’s office know that our wildlife DOES matter, and we won’t stand for anyone purposely targeting/killing any animals. I also want to be clear that I am not referring to any legal hunting, only cases of animal cruelty/poaching. Please write to the prosecuting attorney’s office and let your voice be heard before Mr. Travis’s trial starts in January. The poinsettias are in 6 1/2 " pots & are available in Red, White, Pink, and Jingle Bell (red & white bicolor). You can get one for $20.00 each. If you get three or more, they are $18.00 each.
The poinsettia will be available for pick up Nov 23, 24 8-4 at the Long Beach Fire Hall.

I would like to thank everyone who came in and helped raise money for our Long Beach Volunteer Fire Department! Because of all of you, we were able to raise $379.00!

The new fundraiser is for the Ilwaco Fishermen athletic department!! For every pound of bulk treats sold, $1.00 will be donated!! We have 6 different delicious flavors to choose from!

Wow, that's a lot of treats sold! I can't wait to see how many pounds we sell for this one 🏈🏐🏀🥎⚾️⚽️

Chinook Observer:
James S. Travis, 64 — The high-profile case in which he is accused of mowing down seagulls off of the Klipsan beach approach on July 27 is slowly moving along. Travis appeared remotely via Zoom along with his attorney, Kris R. Jensen.

According to court records, Travis entered a plea of not guilty to all counts, which includes first-degree animal cruelty and reckless driving. First-degree animal cruelty is a Class C felony in Washington state, carrying a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

However, under Washington state adult felony sentencing guidelines and with an offender score of zero, Travis would likely face a standard range of 1-3 months in jail.

Felony charges are often dismissed or dropped to lesser misdemeanor charges.

At present, Travis’s trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 21, 2025.

‼️ This is PLENTY of time to come together as a community to make sure this type of heinous act doesn't happen again!
If James Travis gets away with this, it only sets the tone for what is to come. ‼️
