📷The 16th-annual Bulldog Beauty Contest will be the main event at the Haute Dog Contests produced by pageant expert/coach and bulldog enthusiast Justin Rudd and his Haute Dogs organization. Proceeds benefit Rudd’s nonprofit 501c3 called Community Action Team (CAT) and their programs for kids, animals and the environment.
The quadrupeds will parade down a grassy runway that will include a 100-ft. red carpet runway, flanked by hundreds of gawkers in white folding chairs and a panel of real-life beauty queen judges. Judging for each contest will be based on charm, first impression, face, figure and personality.
Contestants ranging in age from four months to 17 years are expected to again travel to Long Beach, from as far as northern California, Las Vegas, and Montana (that we know of so far) to compete for the coveted titles.

Rudd says the Bulldog Beauty Contest is the largest gathering of bulldogs in the world. Last year, more than 200 bulldogs from at least four states left the crowd drooling for more. This is a competition where gender is no limitation and good looks are no advantage. Costumes and talent are optional. Organizers realize that most dogs are so adorable that they shouldn't be covered up!
