This 5 year-old pupper was in the care of Humane Society of the Treasure Coast til Eric, Army veteran, and his beautiful family welcomed her to their pack.

Bella Mae is one cool cat with her "get off my lawn" face. But this 7+ year-old girl's ship came in recently when Ben, U.S. Navy veteran, tossed her a lifeline.

Earlier this month it was "gotcha day" for Trevor, U.S. Army veteran and his beautiful family—which now includes 5+ year-old Kady.

Through our post-adoption follow ups we hear that Kady is "the best pet ever"— natch!—and is the cutest plus-one to her new household.

Remember that when we serve veterans we serve their families, too. Spouses and children who make sacrifices so that their loved ones can volunteer to serve our great nation.

Bodhi, formerly named Frankie, spent nearly six months homeless between two shelters until his ship came in.

Thanks to Christopher, U.S. Navy veteran, this big darling dog is homeless no more!

The pair were adopted through our partners Humane Society of West Michigan, which waives adoption fees for veterans and Gold Star spouses we serve.

Sometimes it takes a little while to find "the one."

Jason is an Army veteran who was looking for the living comfort of a companion dog. Approved by Pets for Patriots in mid July, he searched our local shelter partners daily for just the right dog to fit his lifestyle and needs.

Nearly a month later Jason met his match.

Now a month isn't that long in real terms. But for a veteran aching for the healing companionship of a rescue pet it can feel like a lifetime.

Thanks to our partners Shelter From The Storm Animal Rescue for helping us make this match!

We may be a tiny team here, but you can accomplish big things when you care about those you serve. Jason's delight at finding Salty is our reward:
