After using the high velocity dryer & before bathing it’s important to brush the remaining undercoat that’s still left. One of my many favorite brushes is a “wire slicker” brush to complete back brushing, brushing against the grain helps remove dead fur & stimulates the skin & then brush back to lay the coat in the direction it grows. These dogs’ natural body oils combined with their harsh coats can cause them to produce odor that can be unpleasant, and an oily film can be felt on their coats when they are due for bathing. #SheddingSeason #Huskies
Siberian Huskies are double coated dogs. They have guard coats that are harsh, tough & thick. The Downey undercoats are soft & fluffy that acts like insulation to endure severe weather conditions & cold temperatures. They shed twice a year “blowing the coat” spring, summer & warm temperatures.
