Here are 4 essential pet care tips to keep your furry friends happy during the hot summer months:
Ensure your pets have access to fresh water at all times to beat the heat.
Hot pavement can burn paws. Walk during cooler parts of the day and check the ground's temperature (hold your hand against the pavement for 5 seconds — if too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your pooch!).
Provide a cool, shady spot for your pets to rest when outdoors.
It goes without saying, but don’t leave your pets in cars. They can heat up quickly, even with windows cracked.
