We strongly believe that you are what you eat at Lazy Acres Bernedoodles! And we know that the puppies’ health, nutrition, and gut biome start with mom’s milk. This is why we make sure our mommas are getting fed the best nutrition, especially while nursing.
For this meal:
1. Ground lamb with goats milk formula: the raw ground lamb is a great source of protein and fat with many beneficial microorganisms. And feeding goats milk formula as a topper helps to boost calories and vitamins while nursing. We use goats milk instead of cows milk because dogs can digest it easier.
2. Lamb heart: organ meats are some of the best things you can feed your dog! They are packed full of many essential vitamins and nutrients. And the dogs know it too! Whenever we feed, the dogs always eat the organ meat first.
3. Cottage cheese: cottage cheese, and especially whole milk cottage cheese, is a great source of fat, protein, calcium, and probiotics. Dogs also need extra calcium while nursing to support the puppies’ growing bones.
