It’s been a minute since I have posted something on this page. I originally intended this to be a commercial page. I’ve been very busy clipping so far. ‘‘Tis the season for body clipping. I average one hundred horses per winter. I will start taking more pictures of my work. I am not doing much braiding because of the winter and my body just doesn’t want to do it any longer. I’m now teaching the up/down students. I focus on horsemanship and safety. I love it! I will still clip as many as possible. For those in Colorado and adjoining states, I am available to clip for you. I will send a price list to you. Let me know!!

The horse community is a close knit one and when tragedy occurs, we tend to come together to help each other. In light of that, a portion of my proceeds for the month of May will be donated to assist in the cleanup and repair for the Omaha (Elkhart) horse show series which sustained severe damage from last week’s tornadoes. Jim Urban puts on a wonderful show series that I hope we will continue to support in the future.

Oh say can you see the patriotic braids? July 4th is a ”blast” when you have to braid with the booming and the whistling.

Another one of my goofballs. This one moves the entire time and drives me crazy but his mane comes out nicely in the end. Believe it or not he’s a “been there, done that” horse but acts like a greenie when being braided.

Show season is upon us! Taking braiding and grooming appointments now for spring, summer, and fall. Get your list to me ASAP! I will be braiding at CHP for spring and summer and most likely fall.

Double Duty Grooming (groom and braid):
Will do in-state or travel for double duty for boutique clientele. Will do double duty for counts of no more than 4 hunters. (Jumpers I could allow more per day). If you need grooming for more than 4, I will only groom then set you up with a reputable Braider.

Braiding only:
For in-state braiding only (no grooming) I will take as many as feasible each night. For out of state braiding only (no grooming) I need a guaranteed count of 6 or more each night. No leave-in charge but will insist tails are redone each day as needed. Late adds will be charged a fee.

Full grooming includes stall cleaning, feeding, daily care, longing, night check, medications, cleaning, set up and tear down. I will arrive before the horses to bed and prep stalls. I am also available to join your team of grooms if you have such a need.

First come, first served. Get organized as we all know there is a shortage of braiders and we need to be prepared so you’re not left high and dry.

My intended schedule for Colorado thus far: (subject to change)
Colorado horse park spring series
Colorado horse park summer series
Estes Park Copper Penny CHJA shows
Colorado horse park fall series

Will consider if viable:
New Mexico series
Kentucky Horse Park Summer, pony finals, hunter finals
Nebraska series
California (Blenheim) finals
Traverse City (Jr finals)
Or any other locale within a two day drive from Colorado.
