It was not an extreme Colorado weather day but I still spent the morning trying to convince that we should sell the farm and move to Hawaii.

We would like to take a minute to offer our gratitude and respect to Hygiene Feed & Supply and to reflect on what a huge loss the closing of our local feed store is for our community and for the culture and history of Boulder County.

We sincerely wish Jay Crispe the best of luck in his next endeavor and we will miss having him as our neighbor.

COURTESY LISTING: Lila is a 5-year-old, red roan, mustang mare who stands at 14.2 HH. She was started in the Meeker Mustang Makeover (Colorado), and successfully adopted out. For about a year she has been in under saddle training, and started very well. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with neurological issues causing her to trip at random which makes her unsafe for riding. She trailer loads perfectly, stands well for farrier, is a lovely companion, gets along with other horses in various herds, is an easy keeper, is good for grooming, and loves attention. My hope for her is that she finds a loving home that wants to keep her as a positive companion for their other horses. Her only needs are the basics: feet trimming, teeth floats/checks, grass hay, water. No special maintenance required, and I have my vet ready to answer the phone to touch on any questions or concerns; however, she is not worried about her future as a companion horse. Her neurological issues will not worsen, they are just as is. Currently located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

No adoption fee, just looking for the right situation.

ISO Weekend help Saturday and Sunday mornings: Feeding, stall cleaning and turnout approx 6-7 hrs a day, competitive pay, horse experience preferred. This is a rain/heat/snow/cold/wind job. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Beautiful location, great crew and boarders. May consider a work for horse board trade
