Whilst Frank runs the Bobcat, the horses have free reign over the back half of the property. Lucy takes time to greet the goats, and Truly Scrumptious takes time to herself, as she is usually wont to do 😁

Lucy is ponying up for our new volunteer, Dave! All our animals love social calls in a “company is coming, get out the good china” kind of way. Please consider volunteering - we need morning and evening volunteers if you are interested, please DM us here!
Morning and evening shift is 30 minutes to feed and give water to the horses and the goats.

Longer stays are welcome if you want to brush, hang out with animals or help clean stalls out.

Things are getting back to normal after all the August injuries! We had a lovely walkabout in the pasture with Lucy & Truly Scrumptious today. Lucy, always the social butterfly stops to make sure no one is left behind ♥️

The sky may be mostly dark, but all Lucy sees is blue skies ahead! We are so glad to have her back in her pasture, and back in action. Just a really fun pic of Truly Scrumptious pretending to be a mule. Truly is a Hanoverian breed.

Originally, Hanoverian horses were the go-to cavalry horse. Infusions of more Thoroughbred blood lightened it to make it more agile. The Hanoverian is known for a good temperament, athleticism, beauty, and grace.

Penny is so happy in her new pasture! We sectioned off & reseeded this pasture a few months back so that our goats would have lots of lovely fresh forage come summertime — all this rain we’ve been having has made it even lusher and more wonderful than we were hoping for!

Thanks to all the rain we’ve been getting, Hoof & Thistle is officially the greenest we’ve ever seen it!
