After a summer of showing the Triple Creek Eventing team has been taking some much needed “down time” with weekly lessons, a lighter schedule focused on equitation, connection and really filling in the skills we need to be better for next year.

Luckily the Colorado winter hasn’t been too bad for us yet! Pretty mild, generally speaking so far so we have been getting plenty of ride time!

ISO Companion Home for Retired Gelding
Looking for a local home for a retired, healthy, sweet gelding. Unfortunately stifle problems prevent him from regular riding, he has a loving owner who needs a new situation for him.

Sammy is a 10year old tb gelding who had a successful riding/eventing/jumping career.
Would be a perfect companion for an older horse, pasture pet, or….?
Current owner would still like to visit and love on him frequently.

Chauncey is absolutely one of the sweetest and kindest horses to come through our barn. He has been a novice level eventer for many years and has miles at the 1.0 meters in the jumper arena as well as training level events. He jumps easily from any distance, is athletic and has a heart of gold.

Chauncey is looking for a new situation as his owner is looking to move up and he is more suited to lower level work, despite having huge scope. He jumps easily to 3’9 in schooling and has easily schooled prelim questions.

Chauncey does have shivers and very manageable maintenance for his work. He can be a sensitive ride, not for every rider, requires a very soft hand and seat.

Priced well to reflect his situation, looking for a junior or adult on a budget looking for a talented, quirky horse to accomplish goals on and have a best friend. He is simple on the ground, easy tb keeper, does require sedation for hind shoes, bathes, loads, clips all easily and quietly. He has recent back and hind limb X-rays on file.

Jaxson is absolutely the classiest horse. Retired sound from racing with excellent connections he was selected to be my next prospect, I fell in love with his competitive heart and sweet personality while still racing.

Jaxson has been in a professional program ridden by adult amateurs, juniors and trainers and he always tries his hardest. He has extensive traveling experience and is always the same horse off property. He’s keen and kind, never a spook, buck or bolt. Can get quick- but only because he’s trying so hard, not hot. Flatwork is coming along well, jumps from any spot, schooling 2’3-2’6 courses.

Fairly easy tb keeper. Nothing fancy, nickers for his people, loves other animals, easy to handle. No vices. Bathes, loads, clips, does all the things and handled extensively by juniors.

Does have old scratches on hind pasterns but has never effected his work. Deserves his own person. Ready to go into today, hasn’t shown due to trainer finances. Would be perfect for an ambitious teen ready to finish out the show season. Feel free to text 719-313-1927

Poncho
14.1 Grade Pony Gelding
12 years old
Intro/BN Eventer, Colorado

Poncho is a wonderful first event pony for an intermediate rider. He took his first rider with me from crossrails to beginner novice in a year with her lease and is ready for his next kid to do the same.

Poncho is a kick ride who has some pony sass, but very fun to ride and jump. He loves to go xc, trail ride and be a kids personal pony, does not like to do beginner lessons, he finds it boring.

Gets very decent dressage scores and has schooled xc extensively with juniors. Clever with his feet and always tries his best to get over the fence- from any distance. Forgiving of bad distances and silly mistakes. He just keeps jumping!

Easy on the ground, exceptionally easy keeper- lives on air, bathes, loads, clips, same pony on and off property. Not selling as a beginner pony because beginners tend to bore him- he needs a kid ready to go and do more interesting things. I’d really love to keep him in the barn- but I do not have any kids ready to move up right at this moment.

The Fall Event At Archer and Area IX Championships was a huge success to our riders, our village, our sponsors and our horses. A huge congratulations to everyone involved with team Triple Creek after this weekend. As your coach, I could not be more proud of our team.

Jax is looking for his forever home. He is an absolute puppy dog personality in an athletic and clever package. He is easy on the ground, bathing, loading etc, has extensive life experience and was incredibly competitive on the track. Personally selected to be my next horse from his race connections.

Jax is a real try-er he absolutely wants to please, never spooks, buck or bolt, but can be forward and eager to please creating a lot of energy. Jumping around 2’3-2’6 and ready to go intro and beginner novice now. A pleasure to have in the barn. Hacks out alone or in a group, brave and just simply lovely.

Ridden extensively by competent juniors and adult amateurs, great option for a brave teen on a budget. However not for a beginner, needs a solid intermediate rider in a program.

Easy tb keeper. Happy go lucky, nickers to his people, likes stuffies and other animals and really is a great boy. Sadly looking for next home as he was purchased to be trainers next horse but finances force sale. My loss is your gain. Really one of my favorite thoroughbreds ever. Deserves a 5⭐️ home.

8 horse and rider combinations took on and we had a roller coaster of a weekend. Some really high highs and some bummers. As I tell everyone though- if you aren’t winning, you are learning.
