MICROCHIP ALERT!

If you have not heard, Save This Life microchip company has closed its doors and is no longer in operation. Unfortunately, this is the microchip we have been using since we opened almost 12 years ago. And unfortunately, like you, we heard about it on the news.

Numerous people have tried to contact Save This Life and have not received any responses, whether by email or phone.

If your pet was microchipped with us, it has been recommended to re-register the chip number with a different microchip company. We will be switching to HomeAgain microchips so any pet from here on out will be receiving that microchip.

Pet owners looking to transfer their Save This Life microchip enrollment can do so with HomeAgain at no charge. With over 25 years of experience and powered by Merck Animal Health, HomeAgain has reunited over 3 million pets with their families.

For pet owners looking to transfer their pet’s Save This Life microchip enrollment to the HomeAgain database for free, use code EnrollSTL on homeagain.com or call 1-888 HOMEAGAIN (1-888-466-3242). Due to high call volumes, you may expect some delays if calling in. Have your pet’s Save This Life microchip number handy and let the customer care agent know that you were referred by your veterinarian.

Once enrolled, your pet will have a lifetime enrollment in the HomeAgain database and one free year of their premium membership with added services. If you choose not to renew your premium membership benefits, your pet’s recovery information remains in the HomeAgain Recovery Database, and you can always maintain and update your profile and contact information at no charge.

There are also two other ways to register your pet’s Save This Life microchip:

1. Free Registry Service at www.freepetchipregistry.com. This is a FREE database that is connected to the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool.

2. PetLink at 1-877-PETLINK (738-5465) or Petlink Registration. Clinics can register Save This Life microchipped pets with petlink.net for only $9.99 using the discount code: VEDCO. Using the discount code will get you the $9.99 price to register.
