Pony dress-up playtime, during pony camp!
Fun trail ride
MoMo missed me over the weekend, so she wanted to teach lessons with me.
More camp pictures.
Can you back your horse? Back up races with Monique Potts as part of our trailering clinic. (Not necessarily about going fast…) Lots of release and reward for the horses.
Working on so many horse show related things this week…
We had a great trailering clinic with Monique Potts yesterday. I was so busy watching all the kids, I forgot to take pictures!
We had a great day at the TCR schooling show two weekends ago! Very proud of all the horses and riders!
I’m a couple weeks late on posting pictures. But here the first week of camp!
Kids and ponies from the week.
Some pictures from the week. It’s finally nice enough to trail ride again!
Yup
OMG!! 😆
Horse Facts:
If a horse gets too stressed out they can colic and die
If a horse doesn't eat enough they can get stomach ulcers
If a horse eats too much they can founder or colic and die
If a horse gets stressed out and doesn't eat at the same time they will get ulcers, colic and die
If a horse doesn't drink enough...you guessed it, they can colic and die
If they have a drastic change in diet, environment or routine they can indeed colic and die
If you ride your entire life it absolutely does not mean that you are a good rider
If you ask 100 equestrians the same question you will get 106 different answers all of which which will be told with 100% confidence especially from those who bought their first horse last week
Horses can live outside 24/7 and they also can not live outside 24/7
Horses eat hay, grass, grain, expensive supplements, apples, carrots and 100 dollar bills
The pants you wear to shovel s**t, fix fences and ride in the dirt are more expensive then any other pants you will own
Horses are athletes. Athletes that trip on nothing, fall while playing, need stitches from cutting themselves on something that is not visible to the human eye, colic and die under stressful (competition type) situations, are scared of absolutely everything and don't like to be told what to do
Rank, fresh, hot, spicy, wild all mean the same thing and describe a horse on a beautiful spring day when all you want to do is go for a relaxing ride to unwind
Beginner safe, schoolie, husband type, anyone can ride, Grandma's mount, kid safe normally means, this horse is bat s**t crazy but I'm hoping you'll buy it sight unseen if I describe it as a kids horse and then ghost you when you tell me it killed your Grandma
If you are riding a horse and they see a rock that wasn't there yesterday you are possibly in for a wild ride as they avoid this horse eating rock at all costs. Including the cost of your life
If you see a horse on the road slow down.. actually just turn around and go the other way. For some unknown reason a horse often jumps infront of moving cars in order to avoid the scary moving cars
If your horse comes up lame, no problem you just need to rule out a couple of the most common things that it could be. These include ulcers, kissing spine, founder, EPM, HYPP, Lyme, influenza, cushings, sharp teeth, broken teeth, rotten tooth, tooth abscess, knee chips, hairline fractures from head to toe, cancer, pulled muscle, hoof abscess, weak stifle, lice, worms, conformational defect, headaches, sinus infection, bruised sole, ribs or spine out of alignment, poor fitting tack, laminitis, dehydration, vitamin deficiencies, anemia, infection and strangles.
And they have a frog in their foot
If you aren't the one paying the vet bills these horse facts might seem funny but they are in fact, 100% accurate. So if you get a horse please also get yourself a good therapist.

Sounds like a recipe for prime reading conditions if you ask me.
Red Red Horse Equestrians is looking for more working students. Maybe for 1 or two days a week. Need a good groom, or someone who feels comfortable throwing hay, possibly cleaning a pen or two, but that’s not a huge part of the job. This is in trade for riding and lessons. For those of you who needs to get back in the saddle but don’t have a horse, I am look at you!
PM for more details. Longmont, CO
Ride the horse. Enter the class.
Imagine 😂
So true 🤩

Last night our gentle giant, Hero, had to leave us. He suffered a severe enough stroke that he could no longer stand, or maintain any control of his body. Luckily, he was found at the onset of the stroke, and all the right people were able to rush to him. While he was very much comforted to have me there holding his head, he could not get up, and was scared and not sure what was happening. Our wonderful vet, Steve Kloepfer, sat with Jude, Mike, and I, while we all said our good byes, and were there with him, gently petting his soft face until he finally took his last breath.
When I got him, we called him Hero, and he definitely stepped in to save the day, every day. He left a big hole in our hearts. There will be many broken hearts from this guy leaving us.
Trying to see if there is any interest in a half lease, or any other creative idea on a partial lease for this adorable pony. Stands 13.1, POA cross, 7 yr old mare. She Is still green, and does need a bit of a rider. But with the right kid, she can be super fun. Pretty brave to jump. And good on trail rides as well. Please PM me for more information on Buttercup. Longmont,CO
The goodest little Arabian! Dobby! (Not for sale, belongs to a client)
Happy Saturday!
Looking for working student, or potentially multiple working students. There is some flexibility there. I need help on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Willing to trade lessons, and help gain horse experience and horsemanship, otherwise this is not a paid position. Anything can turn into a paid position if things work out well enough.Depending on skill level, riding is potentially part of the job. Please pm for details.
After working on some grids this morning, one rider tackled a grid that was giving her some difficulty. She got brave, rode like she meant it, and made it look beautiful. Once she finished she said, “Now I feel like I can do anything!” These are the moments that make me truly love my job. 💖💖💖💖🦄🦄🦄
I didn’t get pictures of all the lessons so far today, but we’ve been having fun.

A little bare back, more sleepy ponies, River looking like a dirty wild Mustang (I love Mustangs, that’s not an insult), and the sunset. 😊😊

Horse shows are full of ups and downs. One moment you’re watching your young rider step up to a higher level, and just crush it. The next moment, the horse must have seen a spider, jumps sideways and bucks the riders off. 😳🫣😫🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ (The rider was ok, just maybe a little peeved with her pony)
This is Toby. Lesson pony extraordinaire!! He is literally the happiest little dude I know. Ears forward when you come to see him or take him out for a ride, walks up to you in the pasture... He spends most of his time giving lessons to the smallest of our riders, and he is patient and slow. But if he has a rider who can canter and jump, he perks up and is super game! Toby is 28 years old, so I limit his jumping and always monitor him. I am sure he would tell me I am worrying too much. 🥰🦄💗💗
