Funeral Service has become a stagnant industry, with progression being focused on frivolous and predatory spending, involving families less and less in the care for their own. After the Civil War, death was taken out of the home and out of sight of the family, thus entrusting body care to the Undertaker, a stranger who provided a service, therefore starting the era of making death disconnected, ru
shed, and cold. We are the beginning of a transformative era in funerary care that will usher in nature, knowledge, and sustainability. A new way to engage the community through compassion and commitment to care, starting in Pacific County, Washington, USA and later across the United States. We will change the Death and Funeral Service experience by providing families with a natural and beautiful way to say goodbye to a human or pet by family, neighbors, and friends, thus reinforcing meaningful ritual again by focusing on family participation and grief facilitation. The End provides access to an appealing alternative offering progressive death care options in harmony with Nature. The End was created to serve a need for compassionate and sustainable funerary care for People and their Pets. The name The End was chosen to signify the closing chapter of a life, as we are chosen to turn this final page with you and your family and take this responsibility on with the greatest compassion. Our offerings will be unlike any other funeral home in the PNW, providing people and pets with multiple eco-conscious options for final disposition, including but not limited to: Natural (old fashioned) Burial, Water Cremation, Home Funerals, Cremation, Body Donation, and Natural Organic Reduction ( Funeral). Our facility will be unlike any existing funeral entity. The space will be open and light, with a lack of heavy furniture and the traditional dated interiors. It will mirror the eco-conscious focus of the firm, and will utilize repurposed materials when able to, and will have green energy added to the structure. Our facility will someday host community events, fundraisers, death care and home funeral workshops, as well as art therapy, grief yoga and massage, and more. It will be a place for death doulas and grief counselors to provide a before care opportunity and a smooth transition for the survivors if they desire therapy outlets for a smoother continuum of care; A space to deliver a comforting, holistic, eco-friendly approach to death care, and education, thus creating the opportunity for the families we serve to have a more integrated, less intimidating experience at a time of loss.
