❤️3rd Annual Cuddle A Farm Animal Day! ❤️

Come support our youth team as they share with you all the amazing horsemanship and other awesome skills they have learned.

Enjoy the farms nature trail, chickens, goats, our resident pig (Mr. Bits), barn kitty’s, the best Golden Retrievers around, and America’s oldest breed of horse (the Morgan Horse).

We will have lots of fun crafts and activities for the kiddos too! You won’t want to miss it!

💕Proceeds will support our scholarship program allowing specially chosen kiddos to participate in our 12 week all tuition paid lesson program. They will receive all of their needed riding attire as well. This is a great opportunity that will give more then just horseback riding to some very lucky kids. We are so excited to launch this program! 💕

!!!!We are looking for vendors to set up during the event. If you are interested please reach out before February 8 to discuss details. We would love to have a food vendor!!! This event has lots of visitors and there is always a request for food 🙂. !!!!

Warming up ish temps today and the horses get freedom! They are super excited!

A little ba****ck ride on the trusty Houdini and some fresh hay from Seahorn Farms!

Stripping stalls and resetting the barn for evening chores 🙂…And a NON emergency vet call today! Whoop! Who doesn’t love that! Ha! Judson Road Animal Clinic thank you for all you do always! We are blessed to have such an incredible crew of veterinarians.

Busy day but busy keeps us warm 🥶!

This! Live this and love it!

I had a conversation the other day with some young kids at the barn, and I thought maybe others needed to hear this also.

Dear horse (cow) agriculture-based kid:
It is ok to be you!
It is ok to be a little different than other kids in your school...If you have some hay in your hair, and are seen outside of school, in a store that way, don't worry, it will be ok!
Spending time at the barn, riding, cleaning, being around animals is a great way to grow up!
If you choose to buy a new halter for your horse, instead of makeup or a ball, that is a great choice do it!
You may think you are alone in this adventure, rest assured you are not, you will find your forever 'tribe' at the barn!
Don't think twice about wearing your boots, jeans, belt and buckle to school, that 'outfit' has more historical notoriety than any ball uniform.
If you go into a restaurant, store, establishment after you have been in the barn, don't worry, we have all done that, your $ is as good as the next persons.
Don't be bothered or worried if someone calls you "cowboy"(girl), that identity is something to be proud of, you have worked at a skill /lifestyle that will serve you well forever
If you enjoy spending time with your horse/cow more than going to the 'beach' or mall, that compassion will get your further in life than the other will.
If you come out of an arena with a dirt 'mustache', a lite tan sand colored complexation, from a dusty arena, it is money well spent and a natural facial! Keep smiling!
The work ethic, compassion, commitment, time management spent with animals is a blessing not a curse, so don't ever be ashamed! Find your tribe, keep going to the barn, keep loving on that horse/cow, which ever animal you choose. You be you, and I am proud of it!

Bel Amour Farm is seeking a beginner Instructor!

We are looking for someone to join our team to take on new learners and begin their horsemanship journey. Experience is required and will be tested as we love safety and have a wonderful established family environment creating lasting impacts on horsemanship for lifelong growth and ability to really embrace this incredible sport and love and passion for horses.

We can discuss Equine Board options for the right person and pay will be discussed in interviews.

We have a peaceful and fun environment with very well managed and cared for Morgan Horses, Americas oldest breed and we would love to share all we have to offer!

New Years Eve Camp!

It’s not too Late ⏰ to sign up!

🐴December 31 (8pm-1am) $150🐴
New Year’s Eve on the Farm Camp!

Campers will learn horsemanship skills focusing on basic care and handling with an emphasis on safety in unpredictable situations. First aid and other topics will be discussed and practiced. We will learn and practice the how to’s of proper everyday equine management for those who dream to have a horse of their own one day 🙂, be ready to get dirty!
We will play lots of interactive equine focused games and activities to engage our kiddos and bring in the new year!
Everyone will leave with a new passion for horses, special friendships, and an understanding of “Bel Amour” thru a new sense of purpose and calm.
We will have the best New Years Eve Camp Party and Learning Experience Ever! Campers will have snacks and goodies and a bonfire as well as hot chocolate!! Leave the celebration to us and we will sneak in the learning 🙂 while you get a night out!
Cost of camp covers all snacks and drinks for New Years Eve Celebration 🎉. Please dress according to the weather (layers are always a good idea). We will have some heat available in the barn but we will be outside 🥶.

This last week has been full of Holiday fun! We had our annual Christmas Farm Party and our Minis Holiday Horse Camp. What an amazing and fun experience for everyone 🙂.

Holiday Advanced Camp was fantastic!! What a great group of kiddos!!! We had the best time learning as a team and growing new skills. These kids have grown so much in their abilities thru hard work and commitment and I am so proud of them all!

Bel Amour Farm Boarding
🎠

Bel Amour Farm is taking a limited number of equine boarding spots. 🙂! We have just a few rare open spots and we would love to have you. We offer riding lessons based on good horsemanship from the ground up for kiddos and adults! The farm is located just off of 300 before 1844 and minutes from downtown Longview. Wonderful location.

Our Equine care and management is top notch and the horses are full of personality and very well loved! The farm includes:

-Round the clock and onsite management -Surveillance monitored in the barn and around the property for safety of the horses and our families
-Knowledgeable staff with continuing education
-Farm Veternarian Services, Osteopath, Accupressure, Dentist, Farrier (3 week rotation)
-Ongoing maintenance and upgrades to facility
-Inside office and bathroom
-Fun family, youth, and adult focused events
-Small Boutique Style setting
-Top Notch nutrition (nutrition management trained staff) and supplements
-Alfalfa (it is beautiful!)

We only offer full care as we maintain a routine and schedule for all horses on-site. Multiple on-site staff learn each horse inside and out in order to provide the best care and handling.

Our youth program is so fun and available to kiddos that our signed up in our lesson program. It is free and full of so many amazing life skills and opportunities to get kiddos together outside! These guys aren’t just horsing around but are developing skills in leadership, creativity, decision making, building, nature, communication, community, etc… it truly is the best to watch it come together!

🐴December 20 (3-7pm) $75🐴
Intermediate Rider 9-18 yrs

Horsemanship From the Ground Up
All students will engage in activities that incorporate and remind of safety skills and knowledge working with and around horses on the ground in order to improve developing a bond in the saddle. We will work on grooming and tacking. The in and outs of the little things that are often overlooked but have a big impact on safety. Kiddos will practice handling the horses in various environments in a group setting using awareness and understanding of their horses behaviors and needs. We will emphasize horse behavior.
We will then put these practices to the test in the saddle in a group setting encouraging various activities that manipulate using the full body to incorporate patterns and developmental skills to engage the horse and rider. This is focused more on the current rider and building off of skills already in use.

🐴December 23 (12-5pm) $125🐴
Ages 5-15 yrs Beginner and Up

This camp will focus on our younger horse lover! We will learn safety, participate in horse themed crafts, explore all the fun opportunities on the property, learn the basics of care and handling of our sweet horses, and of course the students will have an opportunity to experience riding 🙂 in small safe increments that encourage the use and understanding of how our bodies balance with the horses.
Students will leave with basic understanding of safe handling and safety and lots of smiles!! The best part is they will meet and learn all about the Morgan Horse. Morgan’s play an incredible role in our nations history as the oldest breed in America as well as the most versatile horse in the world!

🐴December 26-27 (12-4pm) $175🐴
Ages 5-15 years Beginner and Up

Various Levels Care and Handling, Balance and Control, Showmanship and Show Prep with a Spin of Fun

This camp will focus on all the fun stuff with a twist of safety, showing off, and some good old bonding! We will learn safety, participate in horse themed crafts, explore all the fun opportunities on the property, learn the basics of care and handling of our sweet horses, and of course the students will have an opportunity to experience riding 🙂 in small safe increments that encourage the use and understanding of how our bodies balance with the horses.
Students will leave with basic understanding of safe handling and safety and lots of smiles!! The best part is they will meet and learn all about the Morgan Horse. Morgan’s play an incredible role in our nations history as the oldest breed in America as well as the most versatile horse in the world!

We will spend day two learning and practicing prepping horses for show even if your kiddo doesn’t have interest in showing. This will give them the fun of the experience in a no pressure environment with the fun of friends and a team to support them!
We will learn how to prep tack and the horses from the ground up!
What do we pack and how?
What do we wear? How do we choose those outfits? What are the different types of riding styles at shows?
How do we make them fancy?! How do we show them off?! All the fun stuff! They even get to play with the fun show horses!
At the end of camp the kiddos will showcase in teams their horses all prepped and pretty in the arena! This one will be super fun and informative!

🐴December 30 (12-4pm) $75🐴
Ages 5-15 years Beginner and Up

(Note this is designed to work also as a phase 2 if you participated in the first beginner camp.)
