Playing catch up after a very busy week of campers and all things horses!

We had some exciting camps full of adventure, imagination, education, lots of fun, and of course horses!

Our kiddos learned all about horse showing and how to prep for the ring! From baths to painting hooves…they didn’t miss a beat.

We had a special visit from our amazing Veternarian, Judson Road Animal Clinic, to do some pretty incredible therapy on Mr. Money. There will be lots more to come on that 😉.

We used shavings bags as building blocks, built fairy houses, created nature themed wind chimes, unloaded hay, and did all sorts of chores as a team!

Days started very early and after camp we rolled right into our normal lesson schedule and training into the late hours of the night. All of the horses and kiddos were exhausted and we all took a much needed break this weekend 🙂. Good thing because we have a few more camps and we are amping up for the Sooner State Summer Sizzler Show in Chickasha, Oklahoma!

Today was all about “Building Magic On The Farm”!

The kiddos had the best time using their imaginations and teamwork to create beautiful Dreamcatchers. This is always a favorite ❤️.

We had a great doubles group ride teaming up our more experienced kiddos with some brand new riders. They explored the trails, played in water puddles, and did some team activities!

And what is a summer day without water play!

Today was about Friendship, Teamwork, and Horses!

We started our day practicing the skills we have been learning all week and the kiddos did all of the morning chores! So cool and so proud of them all! They then spent time loving and grooming their favorite horses. Today was about taking it all in and loving what this is all about.

They spent some time exploring the trails and looking for squirmy critters in the rain and had tons of laughter!! You could hear them a mile away!

As a special treat to get out of the rain and spend time with their friendships we headed out on a field trip to the movie theatre! How To Train Your Dragon 🐉 was the sweetest movie and for sure meets the theme of today’s camp.

Tomorrow we wrap up week two with a very special theme… “Magic on the Farm”! And there will be lots of pictures…

One of my favorite camps! Medical, First Aid, and Nutrition!

We did so much that I may have worn my high energy right out! If you know you know and if you are waiting on a message back give me a day 😂.

We had an incredible visit from our very best Veterinarian Dr. Trevor Hammons and his most valuable side kick/our favorite everything, Veternarian Technician Holly Cotton. We knocked out a much needed and interesting dental on Mr. Blue! Then they gave the best presentation and answered questions from our kiddos. We have some aspiring vets in this group so this was extra special. We cannot thank you two and Judson Road Animal Clinic enough for all you do for the community and our little farm. So many hugs and love!

Next, we practiced drawing meds and giving intramuscular injections. The very best acting award goes to Mr. Justice as he played the role of a very injured soul to include high leg lifts and false kicking 😂. Thank you sir! We ran thru how to assess and treat!

We threw some fun games in the day and had some hang out time with minimal arts and crafts.

Geez I’m exhausted all over again writing this!

These invaluable lessons are why we are here and what this is all about! Our goal is to help mold forever GREAT horseman and women while also helping them learn communication, understanding, and other incredible life skills. This is !

Own Your Own Horse Camp is well underway! Horses have been purchased and these kids are already charging their credit cards! 💳 They are in debt and learning what it really takes just in financial terms. Now the work begins to pay off debt, care for their horses, and somehow find time to ride! Hmmmm…

Some kids are learning that they have a lot of training and time to rehab their horses before they ever get to ride. Hard lessons that are invaluable!

Operation Camp “Owning Your Own Horse” underway! Tomorrow our campers will arrive and purchase their own horse for the day! They will spend the day “owning, training, spending (ha), and experiencing” the what it is like to do this thing!
Now to get some pretend money and credit cards!

First Round of Summer Camp and some local Rodeo fun made for a very busy but extra fun and exciting week!

These kiddos sure had a blast and learned so much while also in active play. Being able to help them grow new skills and reach their personal goals this summer has and will be priceless!…and let’s not forget the incredible friendships they are building that are so valuable.
