When you start a business taking care of animals, you don’t think about the fact that some of those animals will no longer be with you one day. Our hearts are broken. Conor was the biggest dog we had ever seen. Turns out he had one of the biggest personalities too.

This dog would actually stomp and throw a fit when he wanted something.

He was over 200 lbs and was determined to sit in Aunt Brendy’s lap every single time.

He was goofy and sweet. Some of his favorite things were sliced cheese and ice cubes!

When we met him he came right up to us and gave kisses. His mom was shocked and said he’s usually kind of stand off ish and full of anxiety.

We had a special connection with Conor and will miss him so much!💔💔💔

We are thinking of you Crystal and Dudeman.

This is Lovie! We’ve been walking Lovie for years. She walks with us 5 days a week as her mom is not physically able to walk her.

Her mom had to have a semi-immediate surgery and asked if we had time to stay with Lovie a couple of nights. While we can’t always take super short notice requests, we try and this one worked out perfect.

Aunt Casie got to stay with Lovie for a couple of nights while mom was in the hospital. She’s a very sweet dog and was really excited to have Aunt Casie with her overnight so she wasn’t alone!

Today is WORLD SPAY DAY.
Did you know that in Gregg County the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, along with its partner Longview PAWS, have given out over 1,500 spay and neuter vouchers since the summer of 2022. That is over $150,000 invested in helping the people in our community spay and neuter their animals.

Spaying and neutering is the ONLY solution to unwanted pets that ultimately end up in animal shelters by the 1000's every year. Prevention works and YOU can help. Our SPAY IT FORWARD program is largely community funded and your support can help us continue to make a difference in Gregg Co. The below map shows how widespread our program has been used over the last 18 months and how truly successful it has been and with your help this is just the start.
