I got these girls from Rose Blossom Silkies big sell I'm super happy to be adding satin's and NNs to my pen (still trying to get used to the NNs🤣) and I wanted to give a big shout out to both Aura Gadwa and Lou's Silkie Farm for selling me the birds and sharing their line and for Lou bringing them to her house so I could pick them up you guys are amazing keep up the great work 💪

Well two weeks ago I put eggs in the incubator from my breeding pen and I'm happy to say so far they are developing and I will be going into lockdown this coming up Wednesday

I got pictures of my breeding birds today.

In my Magpie duck pen I'll have a black drake over black ducks and a silver and blue duck so there's a chance you will get silver or blue

In my Chocolate Paint Silkie pen I'll have a paint rooster spilt to chocolate over paint, chocolate, chocolate paint and mauve hens there's 5 suspected pullets that are in the pictures that are still in the growout pen so they have filling out to do still.

I will be testing fertilization either next week or the after

I have some questions for my chicken and duck friends.

1. What brand of feed do you give your breeder bird's?

2. Is it layer feed or a certain feed for breeding?

3. For those who use Mazuri waterfowl food what is the difference in the layer feed and the breeder feed for breeding ducks?

Well we are going into a heat wave it could possibly get up to 110 degrees between tomorrow and Tuesday so I tried to get prepared

1.make ice trays with water, Gatorade and favorite treats

2. Grab bags of ice to put in waters

3. Grab extra pools and get them set up for ducks

4. Grab watermelon

5. Make sure there's plenty of shady places for animals to get to

What else do you do to keep your birds cool during this type of weather?

Well, today is my birthday but I'm not really in the mood to celebrate mostly because it's hotter than Satan's bu****le and I will just spend the day cleaning and trying to keep my birds from dying. I'm wondering if I just ignore it then I don't have to turn another year older? 🤔 Anyway, let's try to put me in a better mood and have a birthday giveaway.
