I had the best hatch in the past few months. Turns out it's my fertility rates that were causing the low hatch rate. I now have 10 about to start laying, 3 teens about to come off heat, and 15 newborns up for discussion

The new button quail cage setup is going nicely. I was worried about there being too many males in one space, but they've got multiple stories and places to hide. I got 5 eggs today. 16 females and 5 males.

The egg turners are completely cleaned out and 43 eggs have started incubating. I'm from a 1:9 ratio (was supposed to be 1:4/ 1:5) now to a 1:3 ratio. Lockdown for this batch is in 2 weeks.

Id say they're big fans of the carpet square

I combined 2 cups of crumble (grinded to dust) and a tablespoon of DE and they LOVE it. It's both a snack, a bath, and a dewormer. I give them a little DE twice a month as a preventative. Also, this little girl decided to steal the spotlight. Every time I open the cage, she's ready. Not sure what for, but she's ready.
