On Thursday, Nov. 14, City of Longview City Council members voted to amend three ordinances within Chapter 13 of City of Longview ordinances related to animals.

Section 13-16. Vaccinations: the first change impacted the current rabies ordinance by removing the required annual vaccination and replacing it with language to allow licensed veterinarians to follow Texas law. This change allows an animal to be revaccinated once every three years with a triennial vaccine or once each year with an annual vaccine.

Section 13-40. Microchip Required: the second amendment is to add a required microchipping ordinance of all cats and dogs over the age of four months within Longview city limits. Failure to microchip an animal is punishable with a fine of up to $500.

Section 13-41: Sterilization Required: Intact Pet Permit: the third change adds a required sterilization ordinance of all cats and dogs over the age of six months within Longview city limits, with exceptions, as needed. Exceptions include, but are not limited to, veterinary exemptions, an Intact Pet Permit, and/or a Breeding Permit.

These changes will take affect Feb. 1, 2025. Stay tuned for MORE INFORMATION as we approach effective date. Hello clients. We will have emails and messages going out today. By January of 2025 everyone must have the policies signed and agreed to or we can not schedule the appointments. The policy’s will go over following.
NO SHOW fees are 100% there is no excuse to no show our business when you are pre booked , have latch and key option as well as given 3 days notice to reschedule. No shows create financial loss to the business as well as put you at risk to to being banned from using the business.
Just like hairstylist no showing is highly disrespectful and we have bills to pay too.
Multiple re schedules will not be allowed anymore come 2025. This means if you reschedule multiple times back to back, you will not be allowed to on the books.
We offer latch and key just like a maid service so if you need to go anywhere, just ask us to make your appointment latch and key so that you can continue on your day. There is no need to stop your day for your dog grooming as we are mobile service that comes to you, I know many do not know that we offer latch and key but we do and 80% of our clients are latch and key.
We understand true emergency’s IE weather like snow storms or tornados where we the business will reschedule.

Taking it slow is the goal. Cat grooms are the longest process but the most rewarding when a cat can trust the process and lay down and relax like this boy here 😊. This here cat is on his second groom with Furlicious. This is after his bath 🛁 and he has begun to completely relax WITH NO medication. Not every cat needs medication they just need the right setting and time to adjust to the process.
Here he’s enjoying a nap 😴 while we dry.
