Playing catch up on pictures. Royal is 3 months old and can’t seem to stop growing long enough for her butt to level out, truthfully I don’t think anything on her has slowed down on the growth😅. She lost her 3 little white hairs and is now solid black or will be once she finishes shedding. When she’s not trying to convince people she’s actually a lap dog in the wrong body she’s napping, running hot laps around her turn out, chasing the goats, or chewing on Lenard the bottle calf. She leads, picks up her feet, been loaded a few times, and hasn’t had a full bath yet but has been hosed a few times, some on purpose and some she got the hose away from me and sprayed us all🙄 it also appears she might’ve gotten the Dobbin hair gene. I’m super biased with her, especially with her most likely being Robins last foal, and I wish I’d had the time to really work with her and show her this fall but my pregnancy took over a lot of our time, maybe she’ll be in the show ring someday.

Moon is a 15.1h solid black(does carry red) double registered and certified direct daughter of the late Rockin’ Dobbin out of Buddy’s Sassy Moon(Buddy Roe daughter). We’ve owned Moon for 8-9 years. She’s been shown and trail rode but motherhood is her calling. That being said she could come back into work but she’s being listed as a broodmare only at this point. She’s had three out standing foals. She throws sweet temperament, natural gait, superb conformation, size, brains, the prettiest heads, and loves keeping you on your toes on what color she’ll throw. She’s a super easy keeper, easy breeder, easy to foal, UTD on vaccines, coggins, farrier, deworming, and sound in every way. She’s low on the pecking order and currently out on pasture with a group of 7 other horses. With keeping a filly from this year, possibly breeding my show mare next year, and us having our own baby in October we could downsize some mares. Pictures of her foals included. She can be hauled to the RMHA International in September. PPE’s welcome. Located in Loogootee, IN.

California Glow, “Scarlett”, before and after her bath last night. The ground isn’t overly level but she’s somewhere between 15/15.1h, turned 2 in may. She left for her new home today and is settling in great! The worst and absolute best part of being a breeder is saying goodbye to your babies and watching them start their new lives 🩷

Breeding a maiden mare is always nerve wracking for me. You hope they’re going to be good producers and out produce themselves, you hope that all the time you’ve put into picking a stallion works, and you hope they’ll be good mommas to say the absolute very least. Our jobs as breeders, if your a good breeder, in my opinion is to judge your stock and no one judges our horses harder than me🤣. So, when I say Tink knocked it out of the park her first year as a broodmare with this filly it’s not something light. She has everything going for her and her future is BRIGHT.

Someone was being dramatic and didn’t want to have her picture taken(probably because she got in trouble for chewing on the wheelbarrow, chewing on Mimi’s fly sheet, spraying me with the water hose, AND she’s still in trouble for eating Mimi’s mane bags and some of her mane🤬) but it appears she’s loosing her little “pinch” of white hairs. Literally has 3 white hairs hanging on for dear life 🤣 so she might actually be solid black when she fully sheds out.

Royal(still haven’t figured out her register name 🤣🙄) - PBF Armed and Dangerous X Dobbin’s Rockin Robin. 2 month old black filly with the tiniest sprinkle of white hairs for a star. She’s starting to shed on her face not sure if she’ll loose the white or not.

Again, I’m not sure who’s idea it was to show horses in the middle of June 6 months pregnant but we did it and we had a great time!

The weekend didn’t turn out exactly how we wanted it, we ended up just taking The Queen, but it worked out better I think🤷🏼‍♀️

Mimi hasn’t been rode much at all this year(ya know pregnancy, work, all the fun stuff) but she’s performing that best she has in years and more importantly taking care of me and the precious cargo. Our first class, Amateur Trail was split, we made the Final Cut and came out with a 3rd. Our 2nd class was AOT Trail and we came out with a 2nd, huge congratulations to Ashleigh on her wins(I didn’t see you again to tell you congratulations in person🤦🏼‍♀️)! We finished the evening with a 3rd in Trail Pleasure Championship that I will happily take next to Makayla and Greg!

Thank you to everyone who put on such a great show it was truly wonderful to be a part of and raise money for such a great cause!

A huge thank you to Makayla for housing our heathens for two nights and dealing with us. I was moody enough I couldn’t imagine how bad I would’ve been if we drove down and back in one day😬 Congratulations on your well deserved championships! I think Mimi is still a little bitter you wouldn’t let Ace ride back with her🤣

Scotty I really want to thank you but you’re hurting my bank account and I’m not happy about it 🤣 but seriously thank you for braving the heat and taking such amazing pictures!

I’m so proud of this mare. All you hope for as a breeder for your maiden mares is a healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby. Tink had a perfect pregnancy but labor and delivery was hard to say the least. After they called and told me everything all I could think was she probably hates this baby and we’re going to have our hands full. NOPE, best first time momma of the year. She loves this filly and much like grandma Robin she could feed an army plus the baby’s pretty dang nice too.

We’re still pregnant but we’re trying different tactics. Jr is also getting in on the action and trying to induce labor in himself. Have you ever seen a momma land whale try to roll up hill? 🤣

2023….what a year. We started the year of buying the coolest little trailer thanks to my step dad! We put it through the wringer this year between shows and trail rides and it’s been awesome. In 2024 I’m hoping we get some minor things fixed on it and it’ll be even more golden with many more years of our horse chaos🖤 The girls busted butt this year in the show ring. They worked so hard and continue to. The remind me why I do this and how much love I have for sharing this crazy passion. I literally don’t know what we did before they got involved, there is nothing like seeing their happiness on a horse.🩷 We built a freaking house and barn😱 I still can’t believe we get to come home everyday to this piece of heaven on earth! We’ve got a long way to go to get everything how we want it but it’s ours and we’re proud of it. I just can’t wait to get the horses home too! 🖤 We’ve got two babies on the way, a half sibling to Satin and Satins first grand baby and Robins first great grand baby🩷 Jr went a whole year without trying to kill himself AND went to his first international and behaved like a seasoned old man! We(more so I) have been terrified all year that something was going to happen to his leg or he’d get hurt again and we’d be back to square one so we didn’t push at all this year he just got rode. I think I’ve wrapped my head around he’s not going to break so 2024 he’s coming back stronger 🖤 Last but certainly not least The Queen brought home her 2nd International Grand Championship and if that’s not something to bring home to the new farm I don’t know what is and I damn sure don’t know what we done to deserve this mare! Blessed is an understatement. 🩷 Here’s to 2024 and more chaos in this crazy life we live 🍻🖤🩷
