The first birddog I remember us getting was an old setter that was about 11 or 12 when we got him around 1978 or 79 He was a many time champion of some sort of field trials the owner couldn't stand to leave him home when he went hunting and couldn't take him with because the dog about killed his self trying to keep up with the young dogs so that's how we came to aquire him. I can still show you to this day where we got him in Washington Indiana. I have been looking for a replacement for that dog for many years and I found 1 with exceptional breeding no further back that 3 generations he has Grouse Ridge Spencer, Long Gone, Carpenters Bloodline. That setter from my youth had a black patch over his eye and was named Pirate. Welcome our newest addition Pirate the English Setter.

It's been a long and rough 2 weeks tore the old barn down that kylie Campbell and Katie sims help me build 15 years ago when the girls started showing beef and swine for 4 H. Had a new barn built by a crew from Graber Post. I worked on the pens and runs most of the week by myself it was hot. Thanks to some very good friends Austin Campbell Clint Wilson and Cam Ackerman we started at 230 this morning to beat the heat and was able to finish over half of the kennel to get the dogs moved back in today. Also couldn't of done all this without Krista Sims and Katie Sims feeding and keeping drinks for us.

Congratulations to ray from Ohio and his pup razor a grandson of Hope. Razors mother is a full sister to my popeye dog. These are from 2 different trials.

Guided some friends today for our annual preserve hunt. This is Dolly 3 weeks after weaning her pups she hadn't been hunted since early December but she didnt miss a beat. Dolly is 20 months old.

The latest edition to prairie creek kennels straight from Pinehill Kennels Female Della's Jewell and male Della's Pure Class double bred Damascus and the real reason I bought them I am a big fan of the Agitator female and these pups have a lot of her bloodline in them which is getting hard to find can't wait to see what these 2 future is.

Prairie Creek Dolly has really impressed me I have purchased 4 females over the last couple years to add for breeding stock for 1 reason or another the other 3 didn't make it through my very tough standards. Dolly started off slow for my taste didn't scent point her first bird until she was 5 months old but when the light came on it was on high beam she pointed her first wild covey at 6 months old delivered the first bird shot over her to hand and backed her brace mates all natural. I have never had a female bred until they was at least 2 years old or older until now Dolly will have a litter of pups the first week of January 2019 she will be 18 months old at that time. The sire is my mack/arwen son and they should be all natural very bidable pups
