🫛20 WIC boxes to full of lettuce, tatsoi, snap peas, fresh herbs, turnips & collards
🥬30 produce bags to Culinary Literacy program full of fresh herbs, collards & kale
🫜Dozens of lbs of produce to Wednesday to go lunch & Thursday community meal. Lettuce, radishes, kale, squash blossoms, green onions & alllll the herbs.

Our harvests are getting bigger by the week—so much good stuff already here and way more coming. Keep an eye out for cucumbers and zucchini soon 😍

Throughout the season we pack & send boxes full of Solidarity produce to WIC participants, all made possible because of our partnership with . They are a wonderful organization doing amazing work for & with the community, and together we are able to get even more veggies to our neighbors! This year we will distribute 20 boxes every week.

Yesterday's boxes included kale, collards, lettuce, other greens, herbs, snap peas, and garlic scapes/spring onions.

April 3rd -> June 13th

Farming is a beautiful reminder of what might grow when we have patience and pay attention. In the sprint of day to day capitalism and "maximum productivity," such a stark contrast is offered to us by the vegetables and flowers who rush for no one, who do not adhere to constant deadlines, who offer so much goodness without expectation. Our sugar snap peas have been well worth the wait.

The harvest is bountiful! All for market tomorrow - come get yours 10am-2pm in front of . Greens upon greens, flower bouquets, sugar snap peas, garlic scapes, jams and jellies and syrups, local eggs and honey.... did I say greens?? Now is the time to shop local & support small farmers. Plus, everything we grow is done organically & with regenerative agriculture techniques.

We accept SNAP/EBT, produce perks, WIC, SFMNP, cash, credit/debit, and tap to pay.

A huge focus of our mission revolves around Thursday’s community dinner. About 1/4th of what we grow goes into these meals, made from scratch by the farm team and an awesome group of volunteers. We serve between 80-170 meals weekly & the menu changes each week depending on what’s available on the farm. We also freeze & preserve leftover produce from the farm to use all winter long!

On the menu this week: Fresh salad, Shepherd’s pie, Braised Asian greens (over 50lbs!) & mixed veggies. Lettuce, Asian greens, and onions from the farm!

Join us every Thursday at 647 Reid Ave, Lorain, OH. 5 PM, food is served at 5:30PM. All are welcome 🧡
