Please consider bringing in your dog or cat for an evaluation with blood work one day and then getting their surgery a later day. You can expect results within 1-2 days. It's crucial to understand that the validity of the blood work varies, typically ranging from 1 to 3 months, and this duration depends on the patient's age and the type of surgery they are undergoing. (No euthanasia or orthopedic surgeries).

We have partnered with Pet Care LB, every first Saturday of the month we will have our mobile vet surgery truck parked at their mid-city location (4872 Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90019) from 8 am - 2 pm. We will be there this Saturday! Please book your appointment ahead of time on our Mobile Vet Surgery Walk-ins page.

Thank you Lilli at Pet Care LB for allowing our patient's families to sit inside while the surgery is happening. Pet Care LB is a boarding facility for cats/dogs under 40 pounds that are medically necessary while you're away, so they can the extra care they need.

Alfalfa is a 6 year old dog who was found as a stray in Mid-City. From being underweight, unmicrochipped, and unneutered, he has since received the care he needs and has flourished in foster care. Today, he resides in his forever home living his best old man life: taking leisurely strolls and sleeping the day away.

In honor of World Stray Pet Day on April 4th, please remember to fix your pets, microchip them, and understand that there are options for surrender! Alfalfa was a happy story, and every stray deserves a fairytale ending like he got :)

Meet Patty - she is a puppy who was hit by a car and suffered fractures to her right forelimb and right hindlimb. She loves to give kisses and cuddle, and she is just looking to be your BFF. Fortunately, she is well on the way to recovery and looking for her forever home. No matter how old or how messy/complicated their medical management may be, PetCare LB welcomes dogs and cats from all walks of life. Under the watchful eye of a registered veterinary nurse, all of our medical boarders receive the care and attention they would receive if they were our own pets. Our latest boarder has been a joy for the last few days. We take his walks at the pace he feels comfortable, and baby him into eating his meals. At the lovely age of 17 years old, he's more than earned a restful stay at PetCare LB!

According to the ASPCA, there are "approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.4 million are cats." At PetCare LB, we advocate for adoption because it's how we do our part to help every life, no matter how big or small.
