Magma is losing her big, buggy eyes that babies have and it’s reminding me how far she’s come with taming down. She used to be my meanest snake. Hissing and biting anything that came near her. Now, I don’t even need a hook to take her out ☺️

One thing I noticed about my Green Anaconda is that she is always tightly coiled around my hand. Most of my retics and boas are more interested in exploring their surroundings especially when I first pull them out. This girl is also incredibly strong for her size (she is roughly 3 feet) I can’t even imagine how strong she’ll be full grown.

When you handle African Rock Pythons consistently as babies, they can be very tame subadults/adults! You just need to get past that bitey stage when they’re babies, which can be discouraging. Luckily for me, did most of the work for me hehe

Despite her being very active and hard to keep still (like many retics) she’s actually pretty docile and curious. I let her slither in and out of her enclosure and she’s never gotten frantic and bitey.

Prim is a weird one because she refuses to eat f/t rats no matter how hungry she is, but will eat f/t guinea pigs, chickens, and quails. She does eat live rats though 🤔

So excited to get into the Ocelot game with this girl! She’s het ocelot and 50% het indo caramel produced by Thanks again Lucas for getting her shipped out yesterday even though you don’t usually ship on Tuesdays 🤝And I do agree that her yellow head is pretty sick. If you want a giant snake that isn’t as active as retics, burms are definitely the best choice! Ophelia is still a subadult at about 6-7 feet, so she still has a lot of growing to do to reach their typical size at 12-15 feet.
