Day 8 with Angel from @chinadogsflytousa I have been working her through her fear and doing exercises to build her confidence. I took her to the park today and she got nervous and triggered a flight drive. I went into the Jentle method to slow her down a bit and she relaxed. Practice - practice- patience- training- calm- confident.
Day 3 working long line and building more confidence
Not letting her hide away
Packing her in with me
Contrast of feeling
It’s all good - you don’t have to hide away
Brought her to her place to hide after working with long line and she makes the decision not to go
Viola!

Freedom!
It took a lot of work to get here.
When my clients ask “how long will
It take until my dog does……the answer is always the same-
Depends on how much work-practice- commitment and follow through you have with training
I can get your dog to do these things but the human guardian is the one that continues this work daily!

This is Maya. She is a female English bulldog available through @farescue she is 5 years old. I worked her on a proper slip lead today and did place work- she was great!!! Gets along with dogs- all people. Recommended to be placed in a home with older kids.
Working with Mavis today.
3 month old Malinois.
Experiencing stress with other dogs.
I brought Indy in to help.
My client wanting to use @oregontails Jentle method that we went over on our last session. He just went into it and Indy and I followed. We talked about energy and balance- it all worked out well!
This is an exercise in energy. I wanted to see if Indy would follow Jess just based on her energy and leadership with him.
Healthy play.
Many clients ask me about this. What it is- how to know if your dog is a good fit for the other play buddy- watch their body language- also be an advocate for your dog. If things get to rough know how to recall your dog out of play.
Once you establish leadership and relationship with your dog all else falls into place. #dogbehavior #healthyplay #dogsofinstagram #leadership #dogtrainingtips
Working on calm with Tess. She is quite stubborn and highly excitable. I have been working on her accepting the figure eight leash from @cheri_wulff_lucas and finally she has even though I still leave the other leash on when I need to. Today I dropped the other leash completely when we got going on a training walk. I am also working on getting her to a calm state of mind when I open the car door and other dogs come out- in this case Indy who has excellent manners! So far so great- direction instead of direction. It works.
Great work today Lottie. You started off not wanting to walk - you were pulling back on the leash and had no desire to move. After our session here you are -
Looking amazing with your equally amazing human guardian taking the lead.
This is a training session I did with two Corgis who were impossible to walk together on leash. They re- directed on each other and did not have the right leash. We worked on box work and then dialed them in.
This is what it looked like after. I regret that I was unable to get a video before- but will start doing the before and after when I can. #training #dogbehavior
