Thank you to our amazing, dedicated and hard working members. It was raining, but you showed up to help with the CGC testing, the Novice orientation class and our Puppy class. We had seven dogs take eight tests today, in the drizzle and rain, and they all passed! Our evaluators were undeterred as they attempted to keep paperwork dry and test dogs. Our "crowd" was perfect and there when we needed them. No one complained. Everyone looked for solutions when the rain came down harder. We could not hold these tests without your help. Sometimes it take up to ten minutes to move ten feet when you are in a therapy dog class. Everyone wants to learn about the dogs and what they are doing. When we explain they are learning about meeting strangers and encountering distractions so they can handle the stress and excitement of being a therapy dog, people are happy to help by petting the dogs. Small children, strollers, a wheel chair, fountains, slippery shiny floors, stores, glass elevators and heeling on stairs is all part of the day for a working therapy dog. And they loved it today. Great class of students!
