Bio:
This is Emma! She was dumped by her original owners and we don’t know why. She’s about 1-2 years old, microchipped, fixed and up to date on her vaccines. We aren’t sure what breed she is but would guess a Heeler, Corgi and Basanji mix!
They are known for being great family dogs, farm dogs, hunting dogs, super smart and family friendly!
She’s an absolute sweetheart and listens well. We are currently crate training her and she’s doing so good, she settles down quickly after a bit of crying. And today she hasn’t cried at all in her crate training.
She loves other dogs and she absolutely loves humans! She would be great as an only dog or a dog with other dogs! Not sure how she’s with cats. She seems to love children! She loves to play, rest and give you love, lots of kisses actually!
The original owners were contacted and told the veterinarian “we want nothing to do with her.” And they let her go in 115 degree temperatures. She’s skinny so she gets fed twice a day at the moment but is otherwise doing very well. She’s healthy and extremely friendly and loving.
We will foster her until she finds a great home and we want to make sure she will not get dumped again, so we want to find a really good person or family for her who will not let her go again. This girl is pure love and so well behaved despite the trauma she went through. She hasn’t had an accident in the house either so she seems potty trained!

You can also change her name, we just gave her this name today since she doesn’t respond to her previous name at all.

A very loving, young but mellow girl who is looking for her forever home!

PS: We had her for about 30ish hours now. While she’s doing well with other dogs and children from what we have seen in that short time, we believe that her perfect match would be a retired couple or a couple/person that works from home with no small children and no other dogs. She did do good with the dogs she met but that girl has some level of love to get and does not like to share her people! She is loving on you a lot and wants 1x1 attention and gets jealous if she doesn’t. She did not show aggression with her jealousy but some dominance behavior. She would do good with bigger dogs, she didn’t meet smaller dogs than her yet. She’s a our 20-30 pounds and a small/medium sized dog.
