the perfect teddy bear cut for ✨ puppies ✨

teddy started getting mini grooming sessions since he was 3 months old and got his first full groom at 6 months (pictured above).

we loved this look on teddy while he was a puppy - it was just the right amount of floof and was so easy to maintain. it’s the perfect cut for puppies or older dogs who want a bit more floof 🥰

here are the instructions we gave our groomer…

🤍 1.5 inches all around body and legs
🤍 1 inch on ears - trim and round out
🤍 tight, rounded muzzle (no beard)
🤍 short chin & clean lips - this prevents damp hair around the mouth and making a mess after drinking water
🤍 rounded teddy bear paws
🤍 thinning shears on the eye corners - no shaving in between, ever!

baby maple update 🥺 she’s 10 weeks old and has clearly perfected her puppy eyes already

fun facts about maple
🤍 cries out of excitement whenever we’re prepping her meals
🤍 loves her big brother…a lot (and will give him kisses 24/7)
🤍 has mastered her zoomies and bunny hops
🤍 determined and curious – she can grab her own toys out of our toy bin that’s bigger than her
🤍 speedy and athletic – not clumsy like teddy was as a bb
🤍 big snuggler – she must be touching someone at all times
🤍 a pro at head tilts

she was much more tolerant of the actual bath than i thought she’d be, considering it’s her first real one! but the blow dryer…not so much 🫢. everything was okay once teddy joined us though – maple’s number one supporter! 🤍

Ok but seriously, advise needed! A month or so ago Olive decided she wouldn't walk any farther than where she could see our house and just plops down. We were charged by bigger off-leash dogs a few times so maybe fear-related? Has anyone ever had this happen and does it eventually resolve itself? I've tried treats and continuing to walk but I don't want to drag her. We took daily walks from the time she was fully vaccinated (even in winter) and she always loved them.
