Another bummer! I thought for sure the parks would be open since our fire danger went down significantly today. Obviously I was wrong. This is the closest we can get to the Hollywood Sign.

This is a huge bummer. I had thought that the south side of Griffith Park would be open by now. We will have to make do with other forms of adventures. Ace's departure yesterday clearly bummed Linus, 😕 but I am not sure if it is because Ace left or if he is just dreading spending a couple of days alone with me until Thursday. 😄

Sunday Fun: we’re doing good with all that’s been happening. Still safe from being evacuated, but we still have the next few days with another wind event beginning tomorrow night. Thankfully, I found a section of Griffith Park that we can hike around. Thanks for all those who have inquired about our safety and heath. We appreciate you! ❤️

Great advice for emergency situations from the cat expert for our feline fans.

It’s a pretty scary and sad time here in Los Angeles. First and foremost, my whole heart is with those who have lost their homes and workplaces. There’s so much more to say, and I will as the days go on, but for this moment, an important word to fellow Angelenos with animal family members:

* Be ready to evacuate! You don’t want to wait till the last moment to decide what to do. Have carriers ready, along with meds and some other supplies in a “go bag.” I have a playlist on YouTube about what to do in an emergency. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAJvHNBwbBNvAHGOflN-7qNUSr3cPPohg

*Block the unders! Any potential small hiding places for your cats must be blocked off. You need to know exactly where they are and how to get them if the time comes to leave.

* Do not hesitate. If you receive the order to evacuate, just GO. At the end of the day, belongings and homes are precious but nothing is more so than the wellbeing of you, and your human and non-human family members. Nothing.

*An up-to-the-minute list of evacuation points for LA City is available here:
https://lacounty.gov/emergency/

*Also, I have found the App called Watch Duty very helpful.

Like I said, more to come later today, just some initial thoughts. Thanks to all who have reached out, my family is safe and out of harms way for now. Again, for those who aren’t, my light and love to you.

I can't believe what we woke up to this morning - it's quite an apocalyptic scene. This is only the first day of a three-day Santa Ana wind event. Thankfully, we are safe in North Hollywood, and I hope you all are staying safe too.
