Eazy is here to tell everyone that it’s never a good idea to eat a bee.

It ends up making your super cute face a little lopsided.

We gave him some injectable Benadryl and an anti inflammatory and we hope he leaves the bees alone from here on out!

This is Boba, she is a very sweet pug who was getting a mass removed last week.

Every pet that undergoes anesthesia at Hancock Park Veterinary Clinic gets pre-operative blood work and full, continuous anesthetic monitoring of EKG, CO2, SP02, blood pressure, and temperature.

Pugs have a naturally compromised airway so monitoring and extra precautions are especially important.

Here is a fun parrot Q & A from the AAV (Association of Avian Veterinarians) on National Bird Day. 🦜❤️
Scroll left to see the answer or read below.

There are many species of parrots that are s*xually dimorphic (s*x can be determined visually from differences in appearance). The most dramatic example of this is found in Eclectus parrots. Males are a vibrant green with some reds and blues mixed in, and females are bright red and purple. Their beak colors are different, too, so the babies can be s*xed right away (even before their plumage comes in). It is unusual in nature for female birds to be colored more dramatically than males, but the color variation for this species is due to their unique nesting strategy.

This is beautiful Gonzo! She is a 12 years young cockatiel.

She spent the examination confidently telling the doctor she wasn’t going to put up with any disrespect. After all, don’t we all see how beautiful she is???

Hint: We do!

This is Wordy! She is a Russian Box Turtle who came in because she hasn’t been eating well and was moving slower than normal. We did a beak trim and a nail trim on her and Dr. Gabriele recommended some husbandry changes to see if it helps Wordy feel better. We love when we get visits from our reptile friends. 🐢❤️
