King Kong can be salty but he’s equally sweet. Thank you and for alerting us to him and getting him up here.
We’re grateful to have a space where many animals can call home. None of this is possible without YOUR support. Please remember the animals of LAAR this holiday season and donate to help continue this wonderful cause…

My name is Pig Newton and I would like to report a crime. The rescue that pulled me from a city shelter put me on a diet and moved me to a different pen where I can get more exercise. This is totally abusive and unacceptable! Please notify the authorities! Thank you, P. Newton (and please dm me for the address to send some snacks! 🤫)
He’s one of 16 pigs we care for and he’s a drama queen. Yes, he’s on a diet. And yes, he’s moved to an area where he can’t steal food from the ducks and chickens. It’s not abuse, it’s love.
Please donate to help us continue to help dramatic, ungrateful animals like Mr. Pig Newton. We can’t spoil them without your support.

Did you ever see Jarrow’s rescue video? It was stressful but it has a happy ending. 7 years later he’s still with us, healthy, happy and thriving. A couple of years ago he finally got a good application but the change of environment proved to be too stressful for him and he developed a urinary blockage within days! He required emergency surgery and then we decided that we never wanted him to go through that again. He’s a permanent resident of the rescue. ❤️🐾
Go to the website or the link in our linktree to get to their YouTube channel. Please subscribe, it helps save more lives. And if you’d like to donate, any amount helps. Jerry fka Jarrow is a big eater so donations are appreciated. 🤣

The new van is here!!! In less that 24 hours of arriving, it went on it’s maiden voyage transporting a pack of dogs to our friend’s house to finish some rescue videos with
The dogs were so happy (and silent!) for the entire drive! Rusty & Kringle rushed the van and were so excited for the adventure! 🤣🐾
THANK YOU to everyone that donated and helped make this happen! It was extremely hard to raise the funds and we didn’t make the goal but we couldn’t miss the chance to get a better/safer van for the animals.
Look out for the new Chuck Wagon at our weekly adoption events at on Larchmont every Sunday! 😎🐾
It’s never too late to donate and help the animals. Let’s make better tomorrows for more animals in 2026!

Lovey Dovey was adopted 3 years ago and when her mom had some health issues the “family” couldn’t be bothered with getting her back to us. They dumped her at the Palmdale Shelter. I’m disgusted with the situation. I can’t shake the anger but I need to.
She’s here, she’s safe and we’re committed to her!
No, we didn’t have space or time for another dog right now but we’ll figure it out.
I hope Josephine, the woman who adopted her, leaves every penny to charity and gives those selfish people nothing! This dog meant everything to her. Shame on them! And the disrespect to us, the rescue is just disgusting.
More updates to come.
Please donate to help us continue to give animals a stable, safe place. Let’s continue to make things better for the animals.

Lucky Cat aka “2 Sweet 4 The Streets” is safe here and pouting about the cone. Vet said his legs did not appear injured, just sore and banged up a bit. He’s being treated for parasites so he has to be isolated for a bit.
Thank you for grabbing him off the street and transporting him to our vet. And as always, thank you to Dr. Lockhart at for getting Lucky Cat taken care of immediately.
As you know or can imagine, nothing is free. Quality vet care, food, litter, housing, it’s all a necessary part of rescue. Please donate. Any amount helps.
Adult cats usually don’t get any adoption interest and we don’t show cats at our weekly events 1. Because our friend does adoptions inside the store. 2. Because the dogs will stress out the cats on the long drive.
If you are looking to adopt a young adult cat - please dm or email us. We’re happy to discuss and show you some of the amazing cats we have.

We’re desperately trying to raise funds to help trade in our current rescue van. It’s a cargo van and it’s been lifesaving, literally! But it is not fully insulated and there is no a/c or heat throughout. The new van would be much safer and more comfortable for the animals. A very generous supporter is matching the donations to help us meet the goal! We’re at 12k so far.
We need to raise a total of 27k. Please donate. Any amount helps and will be doubled.

reached out about 2 ducklings so we jumped on it! While I was there picking them up, I spotted a lonely hen quietly sitting in the loud madness. So I grabbed her too. What’s 1 more? 😆
The other pic is explained below…
Please donate to help us continue our work. We’re here for the animals and the people that love them. None of this is possible without the generosity of people like you.
***We are desperately trying to upgrade our current cargo van to a passenger van (without seats) so the animals have insulation with a/c and heat throughout to keep them safe and comfortable. Donations are being matched for this goal!

Who we are

We are a small but mighty team of dedicated volunteers and fosters committed to creating happy endings for each of the homeless and abandoned animals who come into our care. For their own wellbeing and through the generosity of sponsors, some animals live out the remainder of their lives with us. However, most are safely re-homed to fully vetted and committed families. We do not discriminate based on breed, age, health, or size of the animals we receive, nor do we focus on the previous family or circumstances which brought them to us. Instead, we choose to focus our energies on each animal’s future, ensuring them a safe and healthy place to grow and thrive. Because the wellbeing of our animals is paramount, we require home checks, commit to fostering until the right placement becomes available, and insist our adoptees be returned to our care should unforeseen issues arise within their new homes. That’s how deep our commitment is to providing safe, healthy, happy lives for each individual who comes into our rescue. Every life is valued. Every life is respected. Every life is loved.
