Everyone who works with Mauella Petshop is madly in love with animals. And our project manager Sasha is no exception. You may have seen her in our videos, and her beagle Nelson is a real star of the shoot. But one day, another tail appeared in their life…
"My beagle Nelson was my dream and my birthday wish. We lived in perfect harmony until one day I thought: maybe I should get a cat?
I always loved dogs more, but I knew that if I were to get a cat, it would not be a purebred, but one that needed help. Then it seemed to me that I was not ready for a new pet… but fate decided otherwise.
In the summer, on my way to the office, I heard a plaintive meow. In the bushes among the garbage, cars and roads sat a tiny kitten, who was clearly lost. He meowed, but at the same time hissed and ran away. For some reason, I could not just pass by. Thus began a four-hour operation "save the kitten", in which even random passers-by took part. Of course, I did not get to the office that day (I still remember the indignation of my boss �).
When I finally caught him, saw that the tail was broken. That same day we went to the vet. The doctors amputated part of the tail, prescribed antibiotics... and from that moment on a cat appeared in my life.
And what about Nelson? Well, at first he was terribly stressed. But I did everything as zoopsychologists recommend: the kitten lived in a separate room for two weeks, then I gradually opened the doors, let them get acquainted. He was very wild and fearful, hissed, threatened, but never scratched me or bit me.
It took a long time before he began to trust me. But now he is the most affectionate cat in the world! And he and Nelson are best friends: they play, lick each other and even sleep together. The cat has developed so many dog habits that sometimes it seems as if he is also a beagle."
