Big thank you to Tami Fawcett for saving the day with her AMAZING mustang mare. This 11 day old filly lost her mom suddenly on Monday and we needed a nurse mare. Tami had this 18yr old Mustang mare that loves to raise babies. She was wild for 13yrs and is not broke but is the best mom I’ve ever seen. She took this filly as her own within seconds. This mare is worth her weight in gold. Baby is doing great, drinking milk replacer till the mare starts lactating, mom is letting her try and nurse and everyone is happy. Celebrated a friends birthday 🥳 with a group ride to the Hollywood sign. We had gaited horses, stallions, a pony, Friesian crosses, Azteca and a Mustang! Beautiful group of equines taking over the Griffith Park trails on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Horses all behaved great, as we encountered bicyclists, joggers, hikers, dogs and strollers.

Spent Saturday at a beautiful ranch in Calabasas learning the ways of big loop roping. Ryan is a great instructor and by the end I roped a cow! Diezel is the best boy to learn on, so patient and not phased by anything. Weather was beautiful, good people and came home with more knowledge. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.

This is the happiest mare I’ve ever had in the barn. Pearl was an absolute joy to work with and was game for anything I threw her way with zero hesitation. I’ve never had a 5yr old come through my barn with the solid mind she does. 💞🐴
In the short 30 days I had her we encountered all sorts of obstacles, worked on staying supple tracking left, keeping her shoulders underneath her, getting that lead and standing tied quietly.
I see a very bright future for this young mare and her owner Cassandra. 🌟
