Just because they’re IN a home doesn’t mean they still don’t NEED a home❣️

Due to the selflessness of some wonderful fosters, many of our shelter dogs are now sleeping in a house and not a kennel🩵 But these pups are still looking for their final place to rest their heads and that’s where YOU come in!

Interested in adopting? Please consider one of the many dogs in foster, who have a special opportunity to show us their shining personalities outside of the shelter environment.
🌟Want to meet or adopt one of these dogs out in foster? Comment below & DM US to connect with their foster parents!!

The pups featured in this reel are just a few of the good dogs who need YOU to step up for them:

McGee

3 yrs old, 45 lbs, Neutered boy

D-Boy

9 yrs old, 49 lbs, Neutered boy

Ginger

Primavera has been out in foster for a whole year! We adore her and are baffled as to why. She is our resident helper dog that we send program dogs to that need a little extra shaping in their social skills.

She’s great in the crate, has nice leash skills, polite, well-mannered, and incredibly loyal once she has a moment to bond.
Our team adores her, and while we joke about keeping her in the program forever, she truly deserves a family of her own (with a dog buddy). Plus, her spot in foster opening up allows us to take another shelter dog in need.

She’s truly a special dog. Visit dogcoalitionla.org if you’d like to meet her and please share to get her seen🙏

🫶COME MEET HER THIS SAT 02/08

Despite his happy little tail wags, Pee-Wee’s been lethargic and refusing food and needed to be admitted to the hospital today. He’s bleeding somewhere in his GI tract and the doctors aren’t yet sure the cause, but he needed a blood transfusion to bring his packed cell volume back from less than half of what it should be. 😢 His ultrasound didn’t show a cause for this bleeding. He will also need a feeding tube to bring much needed nutrients to his underweight body. We are pulling for this sweet little gentleman and are working hard to understand what’s happening and make sure he’s comfortable.

We’re a small volunteer group providing foster support through LA Animal Services. We are not a rescue, and we are not equipped to handle major medical cases. We need help keeping Pee-Wee out of the shelter, comfortable, and healthy.
Any donation is not too small. Thank you.

Zeus is one of those dogs that really breaks my heart. When he arrived as a stray back in September of 2024, he was a shy but healthy young dog. Fast forward to now and you can see in the video just how badly the effects of kennel stress have affected him.

When out of the kennel, Zeus has proven to be a wonderful dog. He walks well on leash, he’s obedient and driven, and he’s friendly with basically everyone he sees. Unfortunately, he was added to the shelter’s Urgent Needs List last month, meaning he is on AT RISK of euthanasia.
At this point, Zeus only has one real option: he needs to be adopted/rescued ASAP before it’s too late.

Zeus would benefit from someone who can allow him time to decompress and take things slow with him. If you are able to provide that for him and want to help, please reach out to us ASAP by commenting below or sending us a DM. Please feel free to also message us with any questions about Zeus if you would like to learn more about him.

I’ve teared up multiple times while making this video because it genuinely hurts to see another living being like this. He is a good dog who desperately wants to live and he deserves that chance. We must not let all his suffering be in vain. Please help save Zeus.

Please Help Zeus be Seen and Saved By:

- Fostering!
- Sharing This Post!
- Pledging Towards Rescue!

Kai has been flourishing in her foster home for about a month, and now she’s ready for a home of her own!💗

She’s an active, friendly, 3 year old girl and we think she’d especially like going to a home with another dog! Not a dealbreaker, but she does very much enjoy the company of her foster sis and her time socializing with other pups.
On top of that, her foster mom has started her in basic obedience classes, and she’s been doing great! 👏 Good girl, Kai!

If you’re interested in meeting her please fill out an adoption application through the link at dogcoalitionla.org

Baby Kane has been in a foster home a little over two weeks and is thriving. 😍
This sweet boy came into the shelter as a 4 month old and spent two long months patiently waiting for someone to notice him. We are so thankful for our fosters!!

Now, he’s learning crate skills, leash manners, and soaking up wisdom from his amazing foster sister, DCLA alum Shell.

Interested in adopting Kane? Reach out through the link at dogcoalitionla.org!
