An update on the little birdie chirpie we pulled from the West LA animal shelter!

If you saw on our stories, you know we were contacted by the shelter regarding a cockatiel who was brought in severely injured. Because the shelter had no place for the bird, he was kept under the desk of a staff member, in a box in hopes a rescue could come.

When we saw the bird, we were horrified. We still don’t understand how this happened, but from what the shelter stated, he was ‘found’ by someone who attempted to cut its wings so it couldn’t fly. But his injuries didn’t align with that story. (The video in the comment is from when we first took him in. I would advise you skip looking at it if you are squeamish!)

took this bird right into a specialty vet where they had to sedate him and clean and assess the wound. For 14 days, he had to be given 5 different medicines.

But look at his little transformation!!! He is looking SO much better with some love, TLC, good food, and proper care. In fact, his butt feathers are starting to grow back!

We are now preparing for birdie to go into his new home soon and wanted to thank you all for the support and donations! His emergency hospital visit was $700 but it was all worth it to hear him sing and dance all day. He LOVES music! 🥹

Just a reminder that shelters, don’t have just dogs and cats. They also have other types of animals as well. Please always check with the shelter for adoptable animals before purchasing! 🙏 🦜

This is an all hands on deck request for each and every one of our followers.

Mamma Elsa, a resilient German Shepherd who six months ago, was abandoned outside a shelter while she was in labor is in need of your assistance! Her previous owners tied her to a pole in the middle of the night, left her frightened, alone, and desperate. Elsa was found by shelter staff and brought inside. She managed to give birth to 9 puppies, one passing away after birth. Because the shelter was so severely overcrowded, Elsa was placed in the cat room, and given just 72 hours to vacate the shelter or her and all her puppies would be euthanized. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her and her babies just in time. Since then, all of her gorgeous puppies have been adopted, but Elsa has had no interest and is patiently waiting for a second chance at life.

Elsa is a gentle soul, eager to please her humans. She has completed a rigorous board and train program, learning basic commands and socializing with other dogs and humans.

Her eyes reflect both resilience and longing—a desire for a loving home where she can heal and thrive.
Yet, despite our best efforts, Elsa remains overlooked due to the countless other animals that are also waiting for a home. She deserves better.

What she needs:
• Calm home with a leader who is familiar with the breed and can provide structure for Elsa
• Home with no other animals or one with submissive pups
• A fenced in yard and someone who can provide both the mental and physical stimulation pups need
* Elsa was shy/fearful , NOT aggressive

Our Plea: We implore you to shine a spotlight on Elsa’s story by featuring her on your social media platforms, Nextdoor app, etc You can help us find her a forever home! Elsa’s resilience and unwavering spirit deserve recognition, and your support could make all the difference.

We are open to out of state adopters and will pay for all transportation cost.

A busy day for Mamma Elsa and her pups!

We started off on the KTLA news station and then then went to a meet and greet and then back to their foster home in Santa Barbara where they had a photo shoot!

We are so thankful for all the support for mamma and her 7 pups!

Right now we have 4 puppies and Mamma Elsa still available for adoption…but I will say we had a lot of adoption applications come through after our news segment and we will go through them shortly!

A HUGE thank you to Tiffany and Jill who have been nothing short of incredible in this big rescue endeavor! Jill has been fostering the 8 dogs, and Tiffany has been assisting in all that comes with fostering this amount of animals!

We will be posting an update on Mamma Elsa and her specific needs in the next day or two! ❤️

Meet Lucy!

Lucy is needing to be rehomed because the owner’s other dog (bulldog) continues to attack her and is causing her physical harm at this point. For her safety, they are choosing to rehome her instead of the bulldog as they know the bulldog will be impossible to place and a liability due to its temperament and they have exhausted all efforts to try to make it work.

Very easy temperament!

Just doing a little photoshoot with Big John now that he has his stitches out!!

Look how handsome he is!! 😫

Big John is ball-less and flawless, stitches out, and ready for his forever home!

This hunk is a Lynx Point Siamese, about 4 years old, FIV+, and an absolute sweetheart…the gentlest of giants! He gets along great with cats and dogs of all sizes! He is affectionate and also very playful!

He would do best in a home that has lots of people or animals to entertain him as he is a very social dude!
