Look at the attention Sookie is giving her dad while learning to "go to your spot" in the Beginning Obedience Class with Jacqueline Gaillard & LA's Dog Trainer.
Sookie had several issues including fear aggression.
After the Beginning class Sookie was able to move up to and excel in the Confidence Building with Tricks & Agility class. (See her video on our page.)

Teaching impulse control behaviors just requires a little patience from us humans.
Miles is learning! In last night's LA's Dog Trainer's Puppy Great Start class, we went over “Leave It” and after a few tries he understood what we were asking and was rewarded!
Does your dog know the "Leave It" behavior? It couldn't literally save your dog from eating something dangerous or deadly.

Kiowa 3rd of 3 videos Kiowa has learned the treadmill, yeah (7 years ago)!!
Many young dogs are so full of energy that you cringe at the thought of taking them out for a walk.
After 45 minutes on the treadmill Kiowa was ready to train calmly for his mother. Then, after a bit of training he was ready to go out into the neighborhood and focus better.

Running comes naturally to most dogs, but using a treadmill must be taught.
Using a treadmill is a great way to direct their energy in a positive way instead of destroying things or dragging you down the street.
Young pups have endless energy, and when it rains they still need to get their exercise and many will not go out in the rain (even to go potty).

7 yrs ago - Video #1 of 3 of Kiowa learning to use the treadmill.
Kiowa (video 1 of 3) is a young Husky who needs exercise to get out all of that energy every day.
Huskies by nature, were bred to run long distances every day.
Since Kiowa lives in Studio City (Los Angeles) he does not get to take long runs with his pack.
His mom called Jacqueline Gaillard and LA's Dog Trainer to help her with his training.
Part of his training was to direct his incredible energy in a positive way instead of destroying everything he came into contact with.
Here Jacqueline is training him to use the treadmill to help drain his energy and to focus him on what comes naturally and makes him happy. Running comes naturally to Huskies, but using a treadmill must be taught. Great job Kiowa!!

9 yrs ago: Super Adoption this last weekend got more than 250 dogs and cats into their new forever families!!
I'm so blessed to be able to host the Ask The Trainer tent for the NKLA Best Friends Super Adoptions and the Strut Your Mutt walk to raise funds for homes pets and spay and neuter services.
Oscar was too much puppy for his older adopted Dad.
Sunday at the NKLA Super Adoption event he received 8 applications for adoption.
He got groomed yesterday, getting fixed today, and will be in his new forever home by the weekend.
Thank you Laura D. of Adopt Me Rescue for your help in getting him his forever home.
