11 yrs ago: Today is the last class of the year.
Anyone who needs to make up a class, today is a great day to do it.
We will have class at 10:30 today in the Sherman Oaks location. Please call or email to let us know you are coming.
Everyone else, have a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you for the Confidence Building, Agility, and Tricks classes next year.

Erin, Raja, Ali, & Gidget in the Intermediate Class working on the person to person greeting with their dogs. The humans have to shake hands for 5 seconds while their dogs sit and do not greet each other. Gidget and Raja showed amazing restraint here. Both passed their CGC Test a couple of weeks later due to their moms' great training. Congrats to you 4!!!

December 26th is one of the best days of the year for the animals, and I agree, for the volunteers too a the Wildlife Waystation!!
It doesn't matter what you celebrate, here everyone gets a Christmas tree.
The joy of the tree is a beautiful thing to see. (Photo from 14 years ago).

I just wanted to remind everyone about some food(s) that are hazardous to your pets during this holiday.
Stuffing is a food item that has many ingredients that may not be easily recognized.
Raisins, onions, garlic, and other foods can make your dog very ill, or worse.
Never give your pets turkey bones, ever!!!
Chocolates, pies, and other yummy items left out on tables and counters are easy prey for your curious pet.
Dogs and other pets seem to be able to get to places that you wouldn't think they could when food is involved.

The best money you will ever spend to make someone else happy is paying for their adoption fee!
Have the pet and human pick each other instead of picking for them. This will give the relationship the best chance of being successful and living happily ever after.
