Our most valuable assets are the relationships we build with clients.
The Animal Medical Center of Southern California is a state of the art 14,000 square foot general, emergency, referral, specialty, and teaching hospital located in West Los Angeles, California. The Animal Medical Center has earned the highest level of accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
The expertise and knowledge of our staff, combined with the advanced technology already in place at the AMC, provides general, emergency, and specialty care unsurpassed in quality or service. This signifies that we maintain the highest standards of pet health care available anywhere. It means we emphasize prevention as well as interventional care. It means we provide continuing education programs to our doctors and staff. It also means we provide accurate information and a caring, helpful, professional attitude towards our clients. We believe that our most valuable assets are the relationships we build with our clients and the fostered trust of our patients. We welcome new patients and look forward to continuing to provide our existing clientele with the quality veterinary care they have come to expect.
The Animal Medical Center is owned by Dr. Alan Schulman. Dr. Schulman has been practicing veterinary medicine in Los Angeles since 1983 and is a Board Certified Surgeon. As a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), Dr. Schulman has consistently maintained and practiced at the highest level of surgical expertise employing the latest technology for all types of surgery. To become a board-certified specialist, a doctor of veterinary medicine must successfully complete an approved internship program (which is at least an additional 1-year commitment after having completed four years in veterinary school), complete a residency program, which is typically at least three years (with intensive study in the field of veterinary surgery), pass a rigorous examination process (written, oral and practical examination), and be certified for membership in the appropriate veterinary specialty college.
