Symblepharon are adhesions of the conjunctiva to the cornea or itself. These are almost always caused by herpesvirus infection in kittens before 2 months of age. Paris came to us severely visually impaired in both eyes. Here she is before and after lid reconstructive surgery. She’s made a wonderful recovery of sight and quality of life!
