Hey there guys I am a dog trainer that specializes in managing or modifying behaviors in our canine companions and dog family members. Another trainer trained this dog for board and train but doesn’t have the time to actually teach the family how to handle the dog - see that’s messed up.
Imagine spending all that money for the trainer to not care of help you.

Well I’m going to be helping this and the family learn how to be one. It’s all about the respect you command from the dog.
1. don’t let them free range if they’re bratty or untrustworthy
2. Don’t let dogs freely take your space
3. Follow through with all of your commands and markers no matter what

4. Always train your dogs at least 20 minutes once a day!!

Here we are working on sound desensitization (fireworks + Metallica) and holding place!
And say goodbye to Dottie and Petey! They were a joy to retrain and to live with! They started off as painfully scared dogs that would submissive piddle at home for ma g reasons and would bark incessantly with company and did not come when called! Now we have a set of language via commands to keep them in check, to keep them confident, and to prevent many unwanted chewing or chewing issues!

That one time the hand off DID NOT go as planned (#lol 😅😱) - the #handoff is supposed to be executed when the dog is capable of “going with the flow” sort of speak with either trust or just physical guidance. But this dog had a very intense #behavior in which it would attack the owners for simply holding the leash, so I gave it a shot lol - and it just didn’t go the way I had hoped it would - this is called going over the dog’s #threshold and now what is technically happening is called #flooding where the dog (or person) is taking on a large level of, typically, stressful, triggering, or arousing stimuli. This can be useful if done correctly and if set up humanely. But flooding can also be something totally avoidable with proper conditioning and time frames. ⏳Took a lot of unnecessary work, but I was able to calm him down and establish via #preydrive utilization of a #bitetug 🐺 remember, it’s not just #dogtraining or a #pet - it’s a #responsibility and a #privilege to raise a dog. #lofidogtraining #lofidog #dogtrainingadvice #dogbehavior #leashaggression

Say hello to Henley everyone! Coming out from Hollywood with a lot of anxiety and some leash aggression that is rooted in excitement and impulse control! He’s very nervous when on leash until he sees a dog then he’s barking and chasing. The conflict with the leash partnered with poor impulse control leads into that explosive reactivity that he displays.
