Made this quick list of reminders to keep your pets safe if you have to evacuate. Make sure your bags have items for them and please remember their lungs are fragile.. keep them inside and keep your doors and windows closed!

We are sending love and hugs to all the animals and humans affected by these horrendous Palisades fires. Thankfully all of our fosters are safe and Maeday is here to help anyone who may need shelter for their pets. We have been getting lots of people asking how they can help any animals in need, but for now we haven’t heard of anyone in need.

Maeday dog Ash is available for hugs if you are feeling stressed, scared or just want a dog hug. She’s the best girl.

An actual polar bear chewing on her catch. Lacy gives us polar bear vibes. Look at that paw and those teeth 😬 She loves a chew and loves lounging with her person. We feel like 2025 is going to be her year. This 8 year old girl is the most loyal pup we’ve ever met and takes being a Shepard seriously.

Another 2025 adoption in the books!✔️ We are so excited to announce that Odie is home forever with & 🫶🏼🎉. We loved this little guy so much …and it made us emotional that no matter what, he never lost his special spirit! He made it through an extensive surgery with flying colors (thanks again to everyone that donated!) …..& now he’s happy, healthy, & HOME!

Huge thanks to his foster mom who was there for him through it all. In fact, today is her birthday!!! …And what an amazing birthday present, don’t you think?!🎁 Odie is now named Boots and we are thrilled for this perfect match!

Hello 👋🏽 from Jacob! This boy has been out of the shelter for only a couple of days and has already flourished. He is very loving, sweet, potty trained and a real winner. We can’t wait to see where this long legged 5 year old boy ends up. He deserves the world!

Meet Cookie! This senior lady found herself at the shelter after her person had a very tearful goodbye when she and two other dogs was surrendered to We don’t know the details on why she was surrendered, but she was clearly very loved. By the time we heard about her, the other two dogs had been adopted and Cookie was just waiting patiently. We grabbed her thanks to her fosters for saying “Hell yes” and we could immediately feel her gratitude. She jumped right in the car and was an angel on the drive.

She loves other dogs, loves kids, is potty trained, wants to sleep under the covers and has a zest for life. We have only had her one night, but we are already obsessed with this 13lb girl. Adopt her 👉🏽

Madeline is a happy girl! She loves playing before bedtime - who wants to join her?!? Madeline is about 7-8ish years old, a tiny 7 lbs, perfectly potty trained, and …look at her😍 — She is equal parts sassy & sweet!

Madeline loves going on walks, playing with toys, cuddling, and being the center of attention! Now all she needs to do is find her perfect match to do all those things with🤞🏼 —>

🚨FOSTER NEEDED🚨 — This bonded pair of chihuahuas are Bruno & Ollie 😍 …and we’d like to help them if someone can foster both guys. We were contacted by the daughter of the man that has been caring for them …but he can no longer keep them.

Here’s more info from them — “Both dogs are fixed, microchipped, and are up to date on their shots. They are also crate trained and aren’t prone to barking often. They are children friendly, dog friendly, and extremely sweet. They both love to cuddle and get love/attention. Bruno (on the right) is approx 4 years old and loves pats and scratches. He also likes to army crawl across the floor for attention, which is always funny to watch. The smaller dog, Ollie (on the left) is 7 years old and a little more timid, but loves to lay next to you and nap once he gets comfortable around you. My dad has been taking care of them for about a year now, but is going back to work and can no longer keep them. I am hoping your organization can take them so that they don’t have to go to a shelter”

Guess who is starting 2025 with a home?! It’s EGG & SUGAR!!! 🎉 Now names Ellie & Leo! This duo came to Maeday this past summer and after seeing them turn into adult cats & watching their littermates get adopted- their time has come! The wait was worth it as they found the best parents with a dog who loves them. Thanks for adding these two to your family.

Giant thank you to their foster mom who committed to fostering them until they found the perfect home. Thanks to everyone who helped and jumped in when we needed cat sitters.

What?! ANOTHER new dog?! Yep. New Year, New dog! Meet our second rescue of 2025, Georgie! This scruffy boy is around 2-4 years old and found himself at the shelter. Thankfully our foster was able to jump in. He is about 12 pounds, seems potty trained and since we’ve only had him an hour… we can’t wait to learn more about him.

He is healing from a skin irritation and ones he is healed, we will get him fixed. Thanks to all the end of year donors, we were able to jump right in and start saving dogs.

Our first adoption announcement of 2025 is 🥁….CREW!🎉👏🏼 We are so thrilled that this guy found himself an amazing home with & will be loved forever! We still can’t believe how his previous owner just dropped him off at a Dogsitter and never came back🤬….but now we are thinking that is probably the best thing that ever happened to him because now he has a loving home that will never abandon him.

Huge thanks to his fosters for standing by him through it all! And he sure to follow because it will highlight this dynamic duo of brothers! Crew is now named Ralph - we love this cutie pair and know that HAPPY DAYS are here to stay for Ralph & Fonz🫶🏼

Rudy would like to stay cuddled in bed this morning and all he needs is a human to join him! Rudy is looking for a cuddly human who enjoys walks, adventures, outings and a human who is looking for a dog BFF. If that human already has one dog BFF, that’s okay too! Rudy loves other dogs, is potty trained, well behaved and greets everyone with curiosity and love.

Ash is the BEST girl and her foster only has amazing things to say about her. Slide to read the recent text we got. Ash would be good in any living situation. This tiny little nugget is Madeline ….and she is doing great in her new foster home! She was found on the street in Long Beach a couple months ago & the kind people that found her have been caring for her/fostering her ever since - until they found a solution/rescue to take her on. Thankfully, now she’s a and is in a Maeday foster home! We paid for her surgery …and she is now recovered, she just got her sutures removed, and she is happy/healthy & doing great! Madeline is about 6-7 years old, 7 lbs, potty trained, and good with other dogs (although mostly indifferent). She’s a bit shy & scared at first, but warms up fairly quickly. This little girl has been through a lot in the last couple months, so we can’t wait to get her on her path to finding her forever home! Madeline seems like a Yorkie mix of some kind (maybe a Maltese/Yorkie mix?🤷🏻‍♀️), but whatever the case she’s cute as can be & tiny ….and we love her!
