K9 Trooperz just wrapped up its 10th anniversary. It came with a lot of appreciation for our clients who’ve trusted us with their beloved pets, it filled us with love beyond our wildest dreams and brought tears of gratitude as we watched so many transition over the last year. The one thing we didn’t anticipate was losing them. We are forever changed by their love, corks, playfulness, and serious game face. Our pack on the other side of the rainbow 🌈 is growing but what a wonderful thought to know that they’re all together, exploring new trails beyond our imagination. Athena was the heart of K9T. She welcomed every new pup to the pack with a loving, loud bark and an occasional kiss. She was everything and we miss her terribly. CC was adventurous, a little shy but always happy to give up some love. Charlie, our warrior, protector, total goof and afraid of basil. He and our Lily were inseparable. Hana Bananas. She was such a ball of love who didn’t know how big she was. She had a waddle and a joyful smile to match. And Zuma, the sweetest boy. A retired service dog, he only spent a summer with us but we often ran into him in the neighborhood or even on a trail. He never forgot the fun he had hanging with the crew. This post is long overdue but the sudden loss of this beautiful boy left us with the heaviest of hearts. 💔Buzz, who also answered to Buzz-Buzz, Buzzy Boo and any other affectionate name you gave him, was one of our original K9 Trooperz. He was pushy, sweet and loving as hell. During pickups you could hear him as you got closer to the front door sending out good morning barks. Once you opened it, he’d run out and do a stop, sit and drop. This ritual always ended with a pre-hike belly rub. Buzz loved the trails, loved being with his friends and treats were the icing on the bone. 🦴Because of his sweet nature, we often used Buzz to introduce new Trooperz both K9s and humans to our pack. He was truly special. I’m sure you’ve found the other Trooperz 🐶by now and they’ve shown you all the great trails on that side of the rainbow. 🌈 We miss you so much Buzzy and we thank your family for sharing you with us. ♥️

On October 27th, we held the face of our beautiful girl Lily as she made her transition 🌈 She was stunning, athletic and so very sweet. She had a special gear for hunting, playing and nurturing. She spent many Sunday’s bringing smiles to residents of a nursing home, did thousands of play bows for puppies, chased lizards up hillsides, flushed lizards out of bushes, and explored trails with friends to numerous to count. She took care to walk slowly when a senior had the leash and nurtured her fur-siblings by being a presence for Parker 🐶, raising Bo 🐱 and teasing 😁Tyson 🐱 For the 2 humans who shared space with this incredible being, she brought endless amounts of love but most of all she showed us how to face challenges with grace. She had so many surgeries throughout her nearly 14yrs and aging had brought about its own set of problems so watching her move through the world finding joy in different ways, taking in the small things, was humbling. We were all so fortunate to have her in our lives. So take that gazelle like leap that we loved to watch you do but no need to look back and check in on us, not this time. Go sweet girl and play without pain. We’ll see you again someday. ♥️ the original
