Our main focus is rescuing abandoned and neglected animals from high-kill shelters throughout Southern California with medical needs. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome neglected and abused animals that we rescue from high kill shelters in So Cal. We are an all volunteer and foster based rescue. This precious girl came to us from Carson Shelter where she was brought in as a “stray”. We doubt that was possible, but we’re used to that excuse.

She’s mostly deaf, but her eyesight is pretty good. She however needs a dental and some mammary masses removed.

We need donations to help with her medical care.

What a cutie pie Timmy aka Titan from SEAACA is ❤️

We literally saved this little guy’s life on the last day within hours of his euthanasia time. He was at the shelter for 10 days with no rescue offer. We were also holding hope for another rescue to step up as we had just rescued an 18 yr old chihuahua and a puppy with asphalt burns to her paws so not ready to take on another medical dog, but we just couldn’t let Timmy die at the shelter so we scrambled to get a foster lined up and transport.

Everything aligned perfectly and we snatched him up by 3:00pm❤️

It’s been a long journey for our sweet baby girl Roxy after having suffered two broken legs and having surgeries to put plates on the fractures followed with many splint changes over the weeks. Then unfortunately the first leg seemed to have had some inflammation and she was showing sugns of pain, so she had to have thw leg splinted again for another month to see if it would help.

After a month of splint care, it seemed the issue was the plate the other orthopedic vet (not our personal vet) had put in was bothering her so our vet recommended removing it. What a financial bind we were already in at this point….$11k!

Fortunately we received a $2k grant from Pals4Paws and we were able to pay for the 3rd and final surgery for Roxy and remove the plate. We are so grateful for this grant. Thank you again Pals4Paws.

Roxy should have the splint removed in another 2 weeks and then can finally have a real grooming. She’s got some serious bedhead going on😂😂😂

Baby Curly did not make it💔

I’m so mad at his owners who didn’t take him to vet as soon as he started showing signs of having parvo. I’m even more mad at the greedy backyard breeders for selling him underage to those people🤬

I was pretty sure he wouldn’t make it seeing how bad he was, but I had to give him a chance. He didn’t deserve to die so young by suffering this dreadful disease.

Even though we gave him the CPMA antibodies, it was only a slight chance it would help. It’s best to give just as soon as they show symptoms within 1-2 days. He was only 5-6 wks old and only 1.6 lbs so it was really a tough chance for him😥

I wish Inwas able to give him a happily ever after.

Welcome our adorable Xolo puppy Miguel to PPPR❤️

Rescued from SEAACA where he and his 3 siblings were dumped. His siblings were adopted, so we were only able to get him. He’s the sweetest puppy and we are so glad he’s with us.

Our sweet baby girl Roxy ended up having an undiagnosed hairline fracture in her other leg and she broke only 4 days after her initial surgery on the leg we knew was broken.

So now we not only had the $6500 surgery on right leg, we got hit with a $3500 bill for her left leg.

If you can spare a few bucks to go towards paying her vet bills, we would be so grateful.

Poor Kiki. She’s got a pretty bad upper respiratory infection and coughing a lot. That happens most often after a coming out of the shelter that a pups been at for more than 3 days, and San Bernardino is quite a bad shelter with lots of infections that go around.

Kiki saw our vet yesterday for the works, bloodwork, antibiotic injection, skin scrape to determine her skin issues, got a medicated bath and an allergy shot and meds to home with. My concern at this time is tackling her cough and making sure it doesn’t turn into pneumonia.

She’s in the best hands ever with our tiny dog foster mama I may end up having to buy special equipment to help her URI so she doesn’t have to be hospitalized. Looking

Yesterday’s vet bill was $848! We need to raise funds to cover that and get the oxygen for her.

So you’re 12 yrs old, have horrible skin issues, missing teeth and your owners decide now is the time to take you to the shelter to get vaccinated and chipped. However, when it’s time to be picked up, your owners bail on you and never come back.

Seriously, I can’t make this sh.. up. Apparently the staff loved her so much, they got together and paid her bill. That was so sweet.

Her video is so sad because you can tell she’s looking around wondering where she’s at and when is someone coming to take her home. Well, we did just that. She’s pending a name, but we love her already and can’t wait to get her skin healthy and see her pretty fur grow back.

Sweetheart whose been neglected and suffering with grade 3/4 luxating patellas, horrible teeth and of course not neutered.

Vet said his bloodwork is good so first step is dental and neuter and then we’ll tackle his knees.

This past Saturday wr received an email from the East Valley Shelter regarding a 5 week old Pomeranian puppy who had a pr*****ed eye and needed a rescue ASAP. I immediately replied that I’d take her.

When I went to pick her up, I couldn’t believe how tiny she was. She weighed in at 1.23 lbs!!! This poor baby should still have been with her mommy and littermates. She was most likely just sold and the people who bought her probably had another small dog or cat who didn’t like the puppy and attacked her face causing her eyeball to pop out.

We rushed her to the ER where they stabilized her with fluids and pain meds. Dr. Wallach said luckily the eyeball was hanging off and full enucleation surgery wasn’t immediate as she was so young. She she would cut the eyeball off and suture her lids, and in a couple months when she’s older and will be spayed we will do the full enucleation to remove the ducts. Her other eye had a little scratch, which we are able to treat with eye drops👏🏻

Starla is the most precious baby. She feels lost without her mama and siblings and cries out for them, but our wonderful foster Mommy Daniela is giving her 24/7 love and care.

We at Precious Pals Pet Rescue can’t wait for Starla to be pain free and to be the happy and bouncy puppy she is meant to be.

Fritz is a 2 yr old purebred Maltese. He weighs about 9 lbs and is the cutest thing ever. He has this most adorable underbo😂

Fritz is a ball of energy and a big cuddlebug. He doesn’t need another dog in the house, but definitely someone who wants a buddy to take everywhere with them.

We rescued sweet Ziggy on Friday from the West Valley shelter after his owners decided they didn’t want to take care of his skin allergies anymore.

They actually contacted us directly a couple weeks ago asking if we could take him. We didn’t have a foster, so we offered to have him treated at our vet and cover his bills. Originally the only said they would keep him with our help, but obviously changed their minds😩

He’s only 4, not neutered and has terrible skin allergies that is totally treatable with meds and diet. We will fix this fella up and find him an awesome forever home.

This is our sweet new Mama Sandy and her 8 babies we rescued last Thursday. That’s a huge litter for such a small dog and she did it by herself outside in a field 😩 Animal control was called about her and as they went to get her, she ran away and lead them to her babies. Phew! The babies are now 10-11 days old and eyes just opened. They are an interesting mix. Looks like two daddies 😂 We are looking for a foster home in the L.A. and surrounding areas for them. We rescued sweet senior Chili from the East Valley shelter. She was an owner surrender who wanted her euthanized because she stopped eating and he lost his home. I was heartbroken when I met her last week and was scrambling to find her a hospice foster. Although she had a full house already. Michelle instantly said TES. We hope she has more time, but even if it’s a day or 3 days she will know nothing but love.

Guys, Cherry made it through her surgery 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I have tears of joy running down my face. I literally smushed Vet Tech Jesus and jumped while hugging him🤣Cherry had 8 teeth left and all were extracted. She is now a toofless little old lady. There are no more holes in her gums and her breathing is already so much better. I’m so Thank you to Dr. Slaton and the staff @slatonvet for taking such great care of her today. Everyone loved our little nugget. I haven’t received a final bill yet, but the estimate was just about $1100 so we looks like we reached our goal! Woo hoo! Thank you all so much for your support.Now she’ll be loved on by her foster Mommy @beastiechis while she heals. Our Story

Precious Pals Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization registered with the State of California and incorporated in 2015 by Founder and President Mindi Memel.

Precious Pals Pet Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing animals from high-kill shelters throughout Southern California. Our main focus is rescuing abandoned and neglected animals with medical needs. We work with the best Veterinarians and Board Certified Specialists to assure that our rescues get the best medical treatment they need so they can live long and healthy lives in their new forever homes. We are an all foster based rescue where our animals receive love and training from our wonderful foster families so they can go onto their forever homes with an easy transition. Our adoption process includes a detailed application and home safety check to assure that the home is the right fit for our animal. It is our goal to give our rescues the home of their dreams. We love each one of our rescues as if they were our own, so it is our goal to make sure that they are not just "pets", but are loved family members.

Nothing makes us more sad then seeing a senior in the shelter at at time when they need their family the most. Sometimes it's a blessing that they were abandoned since most are in such a state of neglect being rescued is just what the needed. With our Forever Foster program we take in these seniors and get them the necessary medical care they need whether it be minor or severe and put them into loving forever "fospice" homes where they are loved and their medical care is taken care of until their time comes to cross the rainbow bridge. The days, weeks, months or years our seniors live we guarantee will be filled with more love then they have ever known.

Precious Pals Pet Rescue solely relies on donations to run our rescue. Besides funds needed to care for our rescues we can use many of the items we have on our Amazon Wish List.
