Captain Paul Watson, the world famous anti-whaling activist, has been freed from prison after serving five months behind bars! This is huge victory for environmental activism, human rights and animal rights. And, now, Capt Watson is speaking about what it was like to be held for 150 days due to what the Captain Paul Watson Foundation calls, โ€œโ€ฆa politically motivated and vengeful case brought on by Japanโ€ฆโ€ which is escalating its illegal whaling. We have a great team here at Love Always, who love the animals very much; and, while we hope it ends up being nothing, weโ€™re ready if it becomes something. Weโ€™ll keep you updated!

Hello friends, I wanted to apologize for the lack of activity on our page with posts recently. I know you count on us to keep you updated on all of the individuals that reside at Love Always. Behind the scenes of any sanctuary or rescue there are humans that sometimes struggle with health issues both mentally and physically. A couple of days before Christmas I was in the hospitalized with a kidney infection and while I was there, I was diagnosed with leukopenia. Iโ€™ll know more January 9 when I see a hematologist and I will of course update everyone. All of the animals are doing wonderful. I am lucky enough to have incredible friends and volunteers that step up even more than they do on a regular basis when things are awry. I wanted to thank you all for your continued years of support and let you know we plan on being here for you and the animals for many more years to come. People often ask me if Iโ€™m proud of what Iโ€™ve accomplished here at the sanctuary and I find it to be an uncomfortable question as Iโ€™m not necessarily proud because it always feels like thereโ€™s so much more to do. What I am proud of is not only how much I love the animals, but how much I love humans and all of you in general, but as they say pride comes right before the fall. ๐Ÿ˜‚โค๏ธ Weโ€™re looking forward to more growth this year within the sanctuary and also more growth on my end in learning to take better care of myself as I am responsible for so much. I love that this place has not only become a refuge for animals, but that so many humans have come here to heal and I very much want to continue on that journey. Wishing you all a new year full of love, peace, and safety Iโ€™ll try and do a little bit better with posting, but no promises at the very least I will be pulling from the archives and sharing old favorites.

Hello friends, I know that you all know we are a Vegan farmed animal sanctuary, but did you know that weโ€™re also a sanctuary for cats and dogs? These two little ladies in my arms Maggie and Yenni were rescued from the streets of Tijuana 12 years ago when I still lived in Las Vegas and then moved here with me. Sweet Yenni passed from cancer a few years ago but her sister is still strong and sassy. Funny story about this photo. This was their first public adoption event, and they both clung to me like babies. Anytime anyone was interested in meeting them. They just leaned into my arms deeper. Needless to say getting them adopted didnโ€™t go very well as it seems that we just adopted each other.

Maggie is scheduled for her senior wellness exam and a full dental on January 3. These things are always expensive and weโ€™re asking for your support for her veterinary bill. Anything that you can give is helpful. Thank you so much for your continued support and love you are appreciated..

Today is an extra special day! Today is the day that my beautiful friend was born. This adorable human spends the majority of her time giving back to the animals. Beyond that sheโ€™s a great mom and friend and we could not imagine life without her. Letโ€™s all wish her the happiest day ever an if you are able to donate anything to her fundraiser for her sweet Marley Pup, we would greatly appreciate it. Itโ€™s my goal to get this fundraiser up to at least $500 at the very least to minimize some of her financial stress regarding her soul pup

Good morning world! This is my good friend and her best friend Marley About a month ago. Paula discovered a small lump in Marleyโ€˜s groin area and it turned out to be mamory gland cancer this morning Marley is having her surgery to remove the tumor. She is the sweetest little dog in the world and sheโ€™s Paulaโ€™s soul pup. Sheโ€™s only 10 years old and has lots of good years left on this planet If we could all hold some space for Paula and Marley today I would greatly appreciate it. Iโ€™m also running a fundraiser specifically for Marley as her ongoing care will continue to be expensive. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Paula and Marley. Paula Volunteers 40 hours a week or more at Love Always Sanctuary and does it with a smile on her face. We love both of them dearly.โค๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ

Well everybody itโ€™s not only open barn on Saturday today from 11 to 1:00 and the rumor is true Santa Claus will be stopping by to visit with your family and companion animals. I am grateful every day for all of these beautiful souls that I spend my life with, this beautiful boy Egbert makes me smile every time I see his adorable tiny little face. Egberts family had to move to a home that did not have an appropriate outdoor space so they decided that @lovealwayssanctuary would be a better option for him.
