Foster to Adopt Network

Foster to Adopt Network Conduit for adopters to foster their pet from a rescue group of their choosing. Foster parents also provide basic care, such as food, water and shelter.

Our mission is to end pet homelessness by serving as a conduit for people to foster and/or adopt pets. We connect potential fosters and adopters with pets that are in need of homes, because more pets who live with a foster family are adopted than those who live in shelters. FOSTERING A PET

A PET FOSTER PARENT PROVIDES...
a safe and loving home until the pet is adopted. Other responsibilities may

include transporting the pet to a veterinary hospital if the pet should become ill, transporting the pet to adoption events, or having potential adopters visit the pet in their home. PETS NEED YOU BECAUSE...
animal shelters and rescue groups can only save as many animals as they have space and staffing for. By fostering a pet, you prevent them from being euthanized. You also help countless other animals by taking one into your home - opening up space at a shelter or rescue for another animal to be taken in. BENEFITS OF FOSTERING A PET:

1. You have the opportunity to "sample" different pets/find out what it is like to live with one if you happen not to be ready to commit forever.

2. It is a great way to meet like minded people, who care about animals.

3. You save a pet's life.

4. You help prepare a homeless pet for adoption.

5. You will always be entertained by playing or cuddling with your foster pet.
