We are a small dog rescue and sometimes we take in big dogs. We desperately need fosters. We are a non profit 501(c)3 tax deductible organization.

We rescue the old, the injured and the over looked dogs from overcrowded Los Angeles shelters. We foster, vet, and rehab the dogs before finding them carefully screened forever homes. It takes a village, and there are many ways to contribute.

Recent dogs we just rescued or saved from bad situations. Hansel and Gretel are pug puppies about 5 months old. Boba is a shih Tzu long-haired Chihuahua and is 7 yrs old. Ramona is 6 yrs old poodle. She has 1 eye. Pinkie is a poodle and 2 yrs old. The black and white dog is Oreo she is blind and was saved on her last day at the shelter. She is a shih Tzu terrier, I think and is five years old I think.

Meet one of our long-timers: BADGER🤎

Badger is a 1-year-old, purebred American Doberman Pinscher. Badger, his mom, and his sisters were rescued from a neglectful owner when they were just a few months old. Fortunately, Badger’s mom and his sisters have already been adopted, but Badger has yet to find a forever family.

Despite his stately appearance, Badger is just a puppy and very much behaves like one. He loves to snuggle and roughhouse with his foster brothers, chew on toys, sunbathe, and go on sniffing adventures. Badger is very comfortable around dogs of all sizes and breeds, and finds chasing them around the dog park to be a great adventure! He is also neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and (almost) potty trained!

Please share Elvis story and help us find his forever home. We have had him for quite a while now and just don’t understand why. He’s such a sweet dog. Elvis is a 2-year old West Highland Terrier Mix that weighs about 14 lbs. He was found as a stray wandering the streets of Long Beach.

It appears he was born with a cleft palate and the previous owner probably dumped him after using him for breeding purposes. Because of this defect, the shelter only gave him a short time to be adopted.

Several amazing people came together to save Elvis before his time was up. He is so sweet and silly. He can eat and drink with no problem.

He is great with other dogs and is getting along OK with his Foster Mom's cats. He is very active, loves his toys, loves to go on walks and run around his Foster Mom's house, he would be best suited in an active home. Someone I know found this male pittie mix in the south central area. He was brought to the South Central area shelter hoping his owners or someone willing to adopt him. He will be available on Oct 26 if nobody comes to claim him. Finder says he’s super sweet. A poster child of sweetness. Please share his story and help us get him adopted once he is ready. So he makes it out of the shelter alive.

Can you believe Adopt Me Rescue still has a beautiful lab named CK for adoption. He is 5 yrs old and still has lots of energy. He’s been in our rescue for 1 yr. Sad he is now in boarding the last few months because we lost his long term foster a few months ago. He’s super sweet and house trained and is a big guy. He weighs 90 lbs and super strong and pulls on the leash. He’s great with other dogs but have no idea how he is around cats. Just took in a pair. A black pug and Frenchie Boston terrier mix. The pug is female her name is Rosie and is 3 yrs old. Frenchie Boston’s terrier is a male and 10 months old. His name is Diesel. Owner died and needed to place them right away. We would like to keep them together so if you know anyone looking for a pair please let us know. Both are super sweet and love people, kids and other dogs. Both are fixed and updated on shots and microchipped and best of all both are house trained. This little princess is WILLOW🧡

Willow is a very pretty 2 year old chihuahua that weighs 9 lbs. All we know is that Willow was found with a guy who kept her secretly locked in his bedroom over the garage. Dear little Willow is now out of that awful situation and waiting for a caring, forever home.

Due to her difficult past, Willow has some anxiety and will vocalize to let us know. Once she feels comfortable with a person, or situation she is fine. In view of her personality, we feel she definitely needs to be adopted into not just a loving, caring home but a patient one. A home where she will be given time to decompress and feel secure. Having a session, or two with a behaviorist could be helpful.

Her foster home loves her, finds her to be very sweet, dainty and well mannered. As is her case with people, once Willow is comfortable, she enjoys the company of other dogs. She gets along beautifully with the other dogs in her foster home and even the cat. She walks beautifully on a leash and is fine in the car.

She has a bark that is definitely bigger than her bite, as she has she has never bitten!

✨RACE FOR THE RESCUES: RECAP✨

We had such a blast at the event today! Our volunteers did an amazing job in the 1K and 5K races, and we even ended the day with some medals! Hooray! While us humans were huffing and puffing, the pups stayed cool in their dog stroller and spent the morning people-watching 😂. Overall, this year’s race was a successful one. Thank you to for organizing such a wonderful cause. Hope to see you for the 2025 event! ⭐️⭐️
