Birdie has turned a corner with her family and training, With her over excitement and aggression on walks. Patience and consistency helps everyone gain trust. She is such a lover I knew we would get there with her. She’s not perfect on the walks but the best Birdie and getting better everyday. #boodogstraining #losfelizdogtrainer
Walking by two barking dogs. This is one of Birdie’s triggers, and after a ride on the bike, we are practicing.
Working Birdy near Pearl my white Shep. Birdy was super reactive when they rescued her and want to be able to hike and walk with her everyday so this is critical for Birdy to have a good life. Possibly why she was in shelter as she is very young. #losfelizdogtrainer #rotweilers
Working impulse control with Iggy. Iggy is super excitable when getting fed. Working place while feeding is a great exercise. Keeping your voice, calm and clear. And just slowing down. This takes a lot of self-control for her. Also part of basic foundation for any dog is Place command and food protocol.
We are up in Washington state right now at our cabin.

3.5mm prong for dogs with hair similar to a German shepherd dog fur.
2.5 mm for short hair dogs add prongs if you have a big dog with short lay flat fur.
Micro prong for tiny dogs 10-15 lbs
If the dog fur or hair gets caught in the prongs then bump up a size.

Micro prong for tiny dogs
2.25 mm Herm Sprenger for short hair dogs, add links for a bigger neck.
3.5 mm for dogs with longer hair around neck like a shepherd
4 mm only for dogs with extremely thick heavy ruffle of fur around neck like a Great Pyrenees dog.
Fit up high on neck behind ears and above any flat buckle collar.
Let the dog grab a leash in house with collar on so they can feel it. The more snug the less you need to do to communicate. A small flick of the wrist for some dogs works. Correct to the side, keep dog close but no tension. Guide dog with small justices to let them get used to the collar. If you need to make a correction make sure it is quick and to the side. #losfelizdogtrainer #balanceddogtrainingtips #studiocitydogtrainer #howtobuyaprongcollar #balanceddogtrainingtips
Making dog food for three dogs Iggy can’t have beef, but I can do lamb and turkey, Pearl can’t have turkey. Nelson and Iggy my littles are on only vegetables and meat. Pearl gets pumpkin and quinoa also. The veggies I use beans, zucchini, cooked spinach, and brussels sprouts this time + vitamins, calcium and oil.

Can’t tell you how many times I see dogs with short fur walking around with huge prong colors. Sia is a meatball, but she has very short fur and only needs the Herm-Springer 2.5 mm collar. It sits snug and high above her flat buckle collar.
We are helping Sia and her parent work on a few things so she is less excited and reactive to other dogs. She is a great dog but we need to be able to communicate and that is what this does for us.
No means No. Little Iggy is a raskle but she did drop it.
