I can’t believe I got a picture of Stewie sitting still. Seriously, it’s practically an impossible feat!

The Hart house had the honor of puppy sitting Stewie all weekend while his fosters were out of town. While he was here, he made it his mission to wear all of us (canine and human) out… And he was quite successful!

-A STORY ABOUT STEWIE-
We love it when our foster parents share stories about their pups! It helps us search for the right kind of home for them and sometimes it’s also quite funny. Yesterday we received this from Stewie’s foster parents:

“He always wants to be in your arms with his seemingly infinite supply of love to share, yet he also has a constant urge to be mischievous.

We were babysitting our nephews this weekend and we found that he does absolutely well with kids. The younger one didn’t want to stop playing and neither did he. But the next morning he went to wake Stewie up and after opening his eyes Stewie looked up at him, sighed, and went back to bed. I swear this has been the only time I’ve ever seen Stewie like that as most mornings he goes from 1 to 100 in the blink of an eye.”

As we get to know Stewie, here is what we’ve learned about this bundle of energy:
Stewie’s favorite pastimes include- hiking, zoomies down hallways, nibbling on toes, jumping as high as he possibly can and going for car rides.

Magpie and Stewie met each other right after they both were rescued. The two of them were scared, but they found comfort and security in each other. And together, they ultimately found the strength to trust humans.

Magpie is learning how to be a brave girl. Today’s lesson- Car rides. These are a bit scary for her but she’s giving them a chance and trusting her foster mama to show her car rides lead to fun new things.

So far, Magpie is really good at asking for cuddles and tummy rubs and eating rotisserie chicken. What she’s not so sure about (but already working on) is walking through front/back doors and using a leash.

HUGE thank you to for all the amazing donations! They hooked us up yesterday with an SUV full of dog food, treats, beds and toys. What a great way to end the year!

Hiya! It’s me Amaya again. Remember how I said I was too scared to walk on a leash for the first EIGHT months after my rescue? Well then, check out this video! Hi. It’s Amaya again, here to tell you my rescue story.

When first rescued me, I was absolutely terrified of everything. Just look at this photo, taken right after I was rescued and you’ll see. That was quite awhile ago now.

My rehab has taken a long time, including 8 months before I felt safe walking on a leash. But my humans have been great showing me love, and my foster pack has made it their mission to teach me how to be a .

Friday nights at the Hart House are known to be pretty rowdy, as was the case last night with silly Seymour leading fun 😝

A PADDY WALK Little Paddington is doing so well walking on his own, he’s decided to walk other dogs himself!! Lol! Love seeing this guy getting stronger everyday. 💜 And I can never get enough of his adorable puppy antics! xo Annie

-POOR PADDINGTON - 👇👇Medical update👇👇 Paddington has had a rough couple of days. The poor little guy started limping Friday and his left leg seemed to be painful. So yesterday, back to ASEC he went. Dr. Kelsey took new x-rays, and everything looks structurally fine/stable. Our best guess is he somehow tweaked it a little bit and needs to stay on pain meds/anti-inflammatories a while longer. Interestingly, One of the remaining pins on Paddington’s right side had started to migrate and bug him, so she removed it while he was sedated. He’s pretty swollen from that right now, so his foster parents are giving him extra doting time, all while icing him and being a delicious chew toy 😘 (watch the video). Please think good thoughts for dear Paddington. I feel so bad that this little guy has to go through any amount of pain after all he’s been through already. xo Annie www.rescuefromthehart.org
